If you are working the same job as someone else with the same skills, and you are getting paid less BECAUSE OF DISCRIMINATION, that’s unfair.

That's still not unfair. Skills are not only the determining factor for your salary. Your work experience, qualification, department, number of years served in the current company, designation, number of hours, overtime, projects completed and performance hike. They all add up to your value.

You bring more to the table, you are paid more.

Facts!. A lot of it is based off career paths. I remember being in the engineering department in school thinking where are all the ladies. I would go study in the business department or nursing building to go find some tail. Vice versa you go into nursing it’s 90% female.

The Pay Gap does exist. Because Men are working more hours. Which is sexist. Because men are still seen as providers / breadwinners / ATMs. The pay gap is proof of anti-male sexism. That a man must work hard in school so that he can slave away in the workforce to support a woman who works less hours and lives of his labour

I remember seeing a Netflix documentary on this. The pay gap is not about gender but more about children. For example, if a man and woman, with the same level of education, get similar jobs, statistics say that they will be paid the same. As they progress through the ranks they get paid the same too. But 5-10 years down the line, they decide to have children. The mother has to take time off for maternity leave. Her bosses start to overlook her as she isn't at her job. The mother also starts to not go to work in order to take care of her kids when they're sick. So it is not as much of a gender gap but more of a mother gap. But people oversimplify it and say that women get paid less than men without looking at the nuances of it.

Most labor jobs I have had end up with some woman doing diddly at her desk all day making my pay and a half to cry about how hard her job is and then share pics of her vacations.

If you refuse to work or try to do better, and you end up in the same spot or worse than before, it's because you're not able to do the job that pays better.

Females would know this if they ever started businesses instead of demanding men pay them better..

Why aren't women hauling in crab pots in Alaska fighting for their lives every moment? Why are they instead in a cushy secretary job being heating by coal dug out of the Earth by miners who are mostly men? Why aren't they farming and risk getting crushed by heavy equipment?

And they wonder why they get paid less.

It's not just a male/female thing... it's an employer thing.

"Don't talk about how much you make" is pushed across most of American business. It's titled as rude and inconsiderate. However, if everybody knew how much everybody else was making then you can see the disparities where they should not exist. Instead we prance along saying that companies HR departments are taking care of pay balancing across all spectrum's.... but they aren't because we still have pay gaps.

Exactly. As a woman, I'm always surprised at how flimsy the feminist arguments are when it comes to this. It's been proved multiple times that women don't work as many hours as men, they don't major in employable skills, they are more likely to need time off because of the possibility of pregnancy, and men are simply more demanding of a higher pay.

These reasons are obvious to anyone with a brain. If there indeed is a wage gap, it honestly deserves to exist because men just happen to work harder. It's embarassing to see so many of my fellow women attack men over this.

This post is extremely ignorant. Now that being said I agree with you but not at all for the reasons you mentioned here. Many gender pay gaps control for career and there is still a gap (roughly 85% is what a woman earns). Now where the rest of the 15% is other things but to say what you’re saying is why feminists continue to think that there is an issue with the pay gap.
