It depends on your job. If you are working at McDonalds and some other dude is working as a CEO.. he makes more than you! Same the other way around. If you work a job that pays less, guess what? You get paid less!

And even if you site studies, those stats are not solid. If you take 10 men in higher paying jobs and 10 women in lower paying ones, yeah, there’s a gap. You can rig it the other way too.

Listen. If you are working the same job as someone else with the same skills, and you are getting paid less BECAUSE OF DISCRIMINATION, that’s unfair. But do not use the “pay gap” as an excuse as to why you don’t make much money. If you get a better job, you make more. Not sexist. Just how having skills in an area work.
