If you haven’t heard the word simp, just spend about 10 minutes on TikTok and it will show up fast.

But if you haven’t, it’s what people call men who respect women.

Ridiculous, right?

I mean, respecting each other is bare minimum, and name calling for doing that is dumb.

Here’s an issue I have on how it’s being handled.

Saw a post about why calling someone a simp is wrong. I agreed, even if it can be funny sometimes.

My problem was this: they didn’t define the term as hurtful towards men, as it is. They defined it as hurtful towards women.

So a name, used for men, to shame men, is hurtful for women. Makes perfect sense /s

Now imma respect women even if I get called a simp, I don’t care. But don’t pretend like it’s a misogynistic term. It’s a misandrist term.

Stop using it to shame men. But stop pretending like it hurts women the most.
