I have been thinking a lot about this lately. Whenever a social, political or religious issue arises women are the first to protest. They are at the forefront( which isn't really a bad thing). But I have noticed that men are way behind in this regard. You constantly see women pushing ideologies, societal expectations and political narratives with full force but we never see the same behaviour from men. On the contrary men act more nonchalant. Underneath every post of a male SA victim there will be some dumb imbecile who says that it's a W. Even though it maybe a joke it definitely doesn't do any service to the victim or to the idea that men need help too. Whereas when the same happens to a woman we see an understandable and reasonable outrage from both men and women. Women are well read on social issues whereas men these days unfortunately are not. Take for example adolescence. It explores how young men today are influenced by misogyny and how such ingrained misogyny needs to be untrained. It is such a bad way to understand young boys and it also assumes that young boys have some problems which they definitely don't. You see women constantly praising the new ideas that there should be anti misogyny classes in the UK lol. OK it is understandable that there should be awareness spread and we need to be taught to understand and respect women but on the other hand where was the same behaviour when there was a literal movement called Ki!! All men. We never saw any outrage from either men and women. OK I don't care about women but men just aren't doing enough to push issues to the forefront what are we doing instead. I wonder if things will change one day.
