Feminism is the establishment. These are the groups and organizations and lobbying efforts that are crafting both law and public opinion. All sides need to be considered when crafting law.

So lets take domestic violence as an example. Domestic violence is a very real issue. Domestic Violence is roughly 50/50 with slightly more men being abused every year than women. The feminist campaigns of "End Violence Against Women" really are "We should stop domestic violence, but only for the half of victims with correct genitalia". This goes on to include the creation of "Arrest the Man" laws and such.

If as MRA we are not disrupting this threat narrative of victim feminism, we are throwing men under the bus to appease bigots.

Can you give an example of a female gender issue on the web that a declared mra has done what you are suggesting?

A link would be nice so that I can see it for myself.

Since this is a recent complaint of yours you must have a recent example.

I see way too many assholes show up to places online discussing female issues in a clearly female-focused event and saying "NO FAIR WHAT ABOUT MEN".

And people are bringing up "But le weeeeemen" in this thread here, when it's a thread about boys and child labour.

Singling out some MRAs who do it is missing the point. Men used to do it because they were affected by an issue and feminists would try to gender it while telling them that feminism is the movement for their issues too. But now that they are aware, I hope they stop doing it too. They have the MRM now to discuss issues affecting boys and men.

The problem arises because feminists portray certain issues as gendered when they actually aren't, and because they deny that men also have certain disadvantages due to their sex.

A Feminist states: "women are being horribly oppressed by men because X!" Naturally, a bunch of men hear this and say, "um, well, we actually suffer that problem as well," or "I agree that women have it worse in X instance, but men suffer a corresponding disadvantage in Y instance." Now, if feminists had a modicum of integrity and good will they would say, "I didn't realize that men also suffered from X problem. Let's fix it for both sexes!" Instead, they say "quit mansplaining!" "Oh did I hurt your man feelz?" "You're a misogynist who lives in your mother's basement!" "You have a small penis!" And so it goes.

Here's the thing: MRA's rarely do this. We acknowledge for example that women suffer from sexual violence, domestic violence, disadvantages due to their biology etc.

So long as feminists continue to pretend that only men have privileges and only women have disadvantages, comment sections on websites will continue to contain "what about the menz" type arguments. It's natural and justifiable. We have tried to remain stoic for decades but the feminists have only gotten more shrill, more authoritarian, more hateful. Men are now standing up for ourselves, and it's not going to stop until we have actual equality. You should be thankful that, so far, men are merely posting reasonable comments on message boards. That may well change if the feminists continue their drive toward female supremacy.

Feminists can have their "safe spaces." But if you make a post on a public message board, or write an article condemning men for X sin, you best believe that we MRA's will set you straight with facts and logic.

It's interesting that "victim olympics" are only ever brought up in the context of males talking about their concerns.

A philosopher named David Benetar wrote a book entitled "The Second Sexism: Discrimination against Men and Boys." How did feminists respond? An article in the Guardian accused him of engaging in the "oppression olympics." Even though he bent over backwards to agree with a great deal of feminist mythology.
