I actually have no problem with the idea of treating the woman you love as one would a Queen. I do that and, because she does the same in return for me, it works. I mean, it's love, right? That's sorta what you're supposed to do.
The issue I have is equating this with "being a man". Seems to me that phrase should read "being an emotionally available and loving person in an equitable relationship". A rather gender-neutral trait, IYAM.

OP is not bringing up the point that you can't treat your SO like the most important person to you (which is how it should be, and how I think I do) but the fact that men are consistently being told by women how to think and act, and yet if men were to attempt to say something of the like about their female counterparts, he'd likely be called misogynistic and oppressive.

I see stuff like this on my Facebook feed all the time and it makes me irritated every single time. Why do girls expect to be treated like princesses and queens? How come you never see anyone posting shit about how a "real woman" treats her man like a king? Oh yeah, that's right, because it's demeaning. It's just as demeaning to act like a man's sole purpose in life is to serve and pamper a woman, and to feel lucky while he does it because he totes doesn't deserve to be with such a goddess. UGH.
I don't want to be a queen or a princess. I'm not more important than my husband and I don't deserve any more spoiling or special treatment than he does. He is so good to me and I do my best to reciprocate it. We are equals, partners, lovers, and best friends, and THAT is how it should be. Treating one another well out of love is where it's at - demanding to be pampered because you have a vagina is nauseating, and if the only reason he's doing it is because you've threatened to dump him if he doesn't, it is empty and meaningless.
