If someone respectfully asking you to refer to them a certain way is 'killing humanity' than humanity didn't have very good footing to start with.

My name is William but I go by 'bill' and I ask people to refer to me that way. I didn't even know I was eroding the very fabric of society.

This isn't a mens rights issue. This isn't even an issue.

I don’t understand how people can name 700+ different Pokémon, Guns, or cars and can’t wrap their heads around 4 pronouns He/She/They/Name. That’s literally it.
