I recently posted a video on YouTube (link in bio) regarding my past anger issues. After doing so, I thought more about it and how there is a double standard in how "anger" is perceived in men and women.

Because men have significantly more testosterone than women, we are naturally more aggressive. It is a trait that allows us to push through challenges and drives us to be successful. It is a key factor in why we historically have been the providers and the "builders" of society.

Growing up, however, I was never taught how to harness it effectively. Raised by a single mother, I was instead directed to bottle it up versus expressing it appropriately. It had a major impact on my life that I still deal with today (although much more successfully).

Today, that issue has become even worse. When a man defends others in public, he is vilified. It is seen as "toxic masculinity." If a man raises his voice or shows even the slightest hint of aggression towards a woman, it is seen as abusive.

However, women demonstrate the same behaviors and it's seen as brave and empowering. Women can touch, harass, assault, and berate men publicly often with minimal consequences. When posted on social media, hordes of women will post "YAS QUEEN" and "You go, girl!"

Have we reached a tipping point on this? Or, do we still have a ways to go before this starts to turn?

I feel we are very close to that point, if not already there. Millions of men have walked out on society, and it shows, as things are falling apart, both physically and metaphorically.

What do you all think?
