The irony is there are many more devastating problems males face which get zero funding for, while some of the most ridiculous issues women face like not enough female comedians, gamers, chess players , mansplaining, microaggressions etc.. get millions of dollars in funding and have entire social science research phds on them. But male suicide is sneered as as a non issue, as are male victims of DV or boys lagging in school with widening gaps.

1.My view of this is feminism knows men's issues are starting to be discussed. As men talk about male suicide at record historic levels and the shameful lack of supports behind it while feminism fights for non issues (noted above), it is undoubtedly going to make feminism look stupid! There ARE real issues women face like rape, dv, FGM, trafficking, dowry killings yet western feminism sits with its back to them to squander hundreds of millions of taxes on "the pay gap" as the top priority and other bizarre issues. My view is they can sense this contrast being shown up when compared to male issues and want is stopped.

No one really said men are oppressed, its just that there are genuinely serious issues faced by men and boys due to our sex, some of these DO also involve discrimination and prejudice based on sex. These are not being looked at and MRM wants these taken seriously. When you mention them within feminism they are ridiculed as "poor menz", "wot mayl ishooz!?" "but, but mayl privilege!" , "whataboutery" etc. So men need a movement that takes these issues problems seriously.
Feminism also portrays any imbalance as oppression, which is dishonest. This is to get special programmes set up and money flow in. It doesn't focus on exclusively oppression based issues women face. For example "the pay gap" is in no way proven as oppression yet feminism monomoniacly obsesses over it. So it becomes hypocritical of feminism to say male issues don't need to be focused on as they're not oppressive; when feminism doesnt folow that principle. It actually grievance mongers.
Male issues are a direct threat to feminisms funding and resource monopoly. There's not a seperate fund for male and female issues, so boys' reading programmes will draw funds away from girl-only programmes in schools. Male DV supports will dilute the sea of money pouring into female supports. This will also produce jobs for men researching male issues and supporting men in the services. Feminists know this, they wont be sharing all the research positions with only themselves.
Overall these type articles are whinging that women are being pampered and men can see it. We are seeing increasingly anti male activity in schools and unis, prejudices in DV and men being blocked from scholarships to degrees that are female dominated etc...

(Middle class , white ) Feminism doesnt want these advantages taken away and projects this onto men.

The idea that wanting to talk about suicide, parental alienation, homelessness, boys education, the draft, eating disorders and body image issues increasing rapidly in boys , being men whinging about losing privilege tells us more about feminism than it does about the MRM.

Well I wouldn't say that men are "oppressed," but if men are denied aid from domestic violence shelters for being male and receive longer incarceration sentences for being male, and are uniquely subject to conscription for being male, and do not have protections from genital mutilation for being male, and are denied scholarships for being male, then can it not be said that men are discriminated against? Would the author care to take a stab at debunking any of these cases of discrimination? Go ahead dear author.

Since when is that the criteria to determine whether someone's rights are being violated or that they are facing discrimination? This is also just a straw-man, because we never said there was a "female-led system." Our opponents are not women, but rather feminists and trad-cons. Is this just projection? Does the author perceive the world as a "male-led system which oppresses, murders, rapes and abuses women and girls?" These people are unhinged, where exactly is the male-led government that does not consider murder, rape, and abuse of women and girls to be a crime? Is it like some 4th world squalor in the middle east? Dearest author, just because your perception of reality is warped beyond belief does not mean ours is an equally warped mirrored version of yours.

There's a contradiction here. If we were pulling a "whataboutism," that would mean we were saying "women are oppressed, but what about how men are oppressed too?" It's a fallacy of sorts because it focuses on that second part but only concedes the first part silently, thus using distraction to evade the concession. However after accusing us of pulling a "whataboutism," our dear author then accuses of of saying that men are "the real victims" of systemic oppression. She's now accusing us of saying "women aren't actually oppressed, men are the ones who are actually oppressed."

So which is it dear author? Are we saying that women are oppressed and trying to distract from it, or are we saying that women are not actually oppressed? Get your strawman straight please.

As it turns out, she's wrong either way. I don't think men are "the real victims" of systemic oppression, because I don't think men are oppressed. I don't think women are or ever have been either. And I don't intend on distracting people from the narrative that women are oppressed. How on earth would we even do that? It's the most popular narrative, so popular most assume it's an uncontested fact. You can't just distract people from something like that, which is why I confront it dead on. I've spent so much time debunking the wage gap, talking about how women were not oppressed by not having the vote, by debunking the pink tax and the patriarchy myth. I don't just ignore these feminist narratives and try to use men's issues as a red herring.

In fact, we normally get the exact opposite criticism from feminists. We're normally told "stop attacking feminism and just focus on talking about men's issues, if you did that we might actually support you." But now our dear author is saying that we don't attack feminism and it's narrative of women's oppression, we just ignore it I guess and use men's issues insincerely to distract people from feminism's patriarchy theory.

The author is unhinged and manages to compile an impressive number of contradictions into remarkably brief and hollow statements.

Lmao if that’s the bar for men to complain about misandry than every feminist I’ve ever seen complain about misogyny is a hypocrite. I’m sure those same people would not hesitate to say misogyny is real in modern society despite meeting literally none of those bars.

Good example of feminists using others pain to further their own hate. “How dare you complain about your problems when women on the other side of the planet have problems.” Definitely saying the same thing to women who complain about misogyny in modern day society lol.

Another great example of how feminism can’t claim to advocate for equality because that would require advocating on behalf of guys.

I like how she equated all men to white men. if we start talking about the treatment of non-white men … well then we might start seeing the racism behind a lot of this stuff. Can’t have that. More seriously though, the infamous Patriarchy, designed cooperatively to enforce male solidarity, by men whom I'm told do not have male solidarity and couldn't cooperate if their lives depended on it... So apparently men couldn't cooperate if their lives depended on it, but they could easily cooperate if oppressing women depended on it?

Ah, and by the way, yeah, we've done experiments on own-group bias. Men are biased against "other men" (the in-group) and in favor of women (the out-group), and that finding replicates cross culturally. So apparently there's something about men that makes The Patriarchy radically opposed to their mindset. How you can install and maintain a society that 90+% of the population opposes is something you should ask autocrats, tin pot dictators and conspiracy theorists of all stripes about, and they will give you different answers.

But as an argument, the Patriarchy is very persuasive because it plays on men's bias towards women (The Patriarchy hurts women, The Patriarchy's gotta go, the way of the dodo!) and against men (since obviously anything that gives "too much" to men should be viewed with suspicion) and allows take as much as you can from men with little protest.

Seriously, if there was to be a final battle between supporters of the Patriarchy and men who want to Take Down The Patriarchy, it would take place on the Island of Kiska, and would result in a costly victory with immense casualties and fatalities for the men taking down the patriarchy, and not a single casualty on the Patriarchy Supporters camp, as there was no one there all along to begin with. And thus the Patriarchy was defeated once and for all during the Second Battle of Kiska.

Schools are female led and female controlled, are discriminatory against boys both in terms of academic and treatment by the teachers, have the highest annual rate of rape of boys by teachers which is not even recognized as rape and statistics on them are also hidden and are no longer documented.
