Time for action?

Been seeing a lot of posts like this lately. I think it's high time MRAs mobilized. We're no longer so demonized that it's unsafe to identify as one in public (source: I openly identify as one in public) and enough of the population is both aware of and sympathetic towards our issues and goals. Really all that's in our way is getting into public.

My advice would be to look around locally to yourself at what needs to be done for men. For example, if there is a women's group that meets up and discusses problems women are facing in your village or town. Consider learning about how they operate and think about starting up a group for men to do the same thing.

It sounds simple and it really is, look at your local newspapers and magazines and look for areas where there are women only activities and ask, why aren't they catering for men as well. Engage with them and politely challenge them.

It might be the case that you have a gym near by and they have women only sessions but no men only sessions. Perhaps write to them and ask them to address this imbalance.

Activism is really quite easy its just about being pro-active and making the effort to do a bit of research and challenge them.

You are in a great position to become a leader. If you are speaking for any reason in front of audiences of 1,500 people, just add in something men's rights that is tangentially related. Being a nurse, the gender segregation in the field of nursing would be a natural and solid point for you to talk about.

While I doubt you will get 1,500 people to sit down and listen to you talk about "Men's Rights", the next time your on stage talking about changing bed pans or what ever the topic is, include a line about male nurses. Plant the seeds of thought into their minds.

The only course of action that will do anything, is to form "Men's Rights Voting Leagues". To try and get men out and vote.

Just the existence of such leagues, would be enough to tip the scale away from special interest groups.
