As some of you know, I've been holding The Young Turks accountable on this Subreddit ever since Ana Kasparian equated MRA's to radical feminists and said that we are not for gender equality. You can see her state that here within about a minute of the start of the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFdsq96Aa98
I recently sent the article about how before "Jackie" there was "Billy" to Steven Oh, the COO of TYT. You can find information on Wikipedia about that or read the article here: http://www.bigtrial.net/2014/12/before-rolling-stone-was-conned-by.html#FsSMUBMSDF60xxRx.99
Steven mentioned the article today in a discussion they had on TYT. He said he needs to look into it more to fact check, but he definitely seemed interested and had read the article.
Some think TYT are beyond our reach. I don't. I think they care about the truth, I find them to be honest people, and if you give them evidence they will generally look into it, even if they disagree with you. These are exactly the types of people that reachable.
Just today again I heard Ana Kasparian of TYT take yet another position that is common ground with MRA's. She might not realize it's an MRM position, but she talked about how women should be able to wear high heels if they want to. High heels, ShirtGate, and the GTA5 ban are all issues she has taken that agree with most of us MRA's.
Recently TYT talked about the differences between men and women with making advances at bars, in clubs, etc., and it was delivered in much less of feminist way than you might think. They talked about the struggles men face, how men get rejected more often than women, how women often not only reject men but do so in a disrespectful way, etc.
We're making progress here folks. There's common ground just dying to be had on police brutality against males. Right now TYT concentrates on how all of these cases in Ohio with the boy, Michael Brown in Missouri, Eric Garner in New York, etc. deal with Black people. We need to keep encouraging them to take on the gender side of that issue as well.
For those who feel frustrated sometimes, I encourage you to look at the real success that is being made with TYT, and it's being made in large part due to holding a respectful stance. If we yell and disrespect them then we will be ignored, but if we talk to them in a respectful way with facts and stories they have proven they will listen, even if they don't admit they are listening.
