Feminists have a disproportionate level of political power, and one of the things they use their power for is to constantly chip away at men's rights. Just a few of the things that feminists have done with their political power include:

The 2011 Dear Colleague letter, which stripped male students of their rights to due process and the presumption of innocence when accused of sexual misconduct.
Blocking alimony reform
Blocking child custody reform
Creating the Duluth Model and pushing to have it adopted by police forces throughout the US and around the world. Result: when a male victim of DV calls the police for help he is more likely to be arrested himself (33%) than to see his female abuser arrested (25%).
Pushing laws that will prevent men accused of rape from defending themselves in court. E.g. Canada's "Ghomeshi law", which forces the defendant in a rape trial to reveal all of his evidence to the prosecution and the accuser in advance of the trial. This gives the accuser a chance to change her story if, for example, the defendant has an alibi for the original date of the alleged rape. Also, the prosecution can block evidence from being presented during the trial if it's considered "personal" to the accuser. Example: a message sent from the accuser to the accused after the alleged rape saying, "That was good sex, I had a great time" would be excluded because it's considered personal and related to the accuser's sexual history.
In the UK, and to a lesser extent in Australia, feminists are pushing to increase the gender sentencing gap to infinity. They are arguing that women shouldn't ever be sent to prison, for anything. Worryingly, there are some signs that the UK government is listening to them. If they succeed in the UK, they'll attempt the same thing in the US.
The education system is now distinctly anti-male, thanks to decades of effort by feminists. Enormous effort and expense is dedicated to improving the academic results of girls, none is applied to improving the academic results of boys who are now doing much worse than girls. Significant time at school and university is dedicated to anti-male propaganda, indoctrinating both genders with the message that boys & men are all violent abusers, masculinity is toxic, etc. No time is spent talking about the fact that the rates of rape committed by women against men are almost as high as the reverse, or that women commit more domestic violence than men do.

I could go on, but you get the idea.

The bottom line is this: we can ignore feminism, but feminism is definitely not going to ignore us. Feminism sees men as less than human and undeserving of the same basic human rights that women enjoy. Feminists are working tirelessly to make their anti-male dystopia a reality.

Um, feminism as a movement has created the "must be penetrated" model of rape where men raped by women are not counted in official statistics as rape victims, and a model of domestic violence (known as the duluth model) which ensures that men are arrested even when they are the victims of domestic violence, and never believed when they are unless they have a confession or mountains of evidence (and sometimes not even then).

So, basically, the movement protects rapists and domestic abusers based solely on their gender, and diminishes the experiences of and prevents awareness of male victims of same, and that harms me as a man.

How does feminism affect men?

They created the Duluth model that lead to male victims of DV being arrested when they report their abusers.

They are responsible for the CDC not considering men forced to have sex as rape victims.

NOW (the largest feminist organization in the world) has been fighting for decades to prevent equal parenting rights.

Feminists replaced a gender neutral domestic violence law with a gendered one (VAWA) that cut men out of a vast array of federally funded victims services.

I mean, I could go on, but you get the gist.

If you think in any way the rollback of equal rights for anyone won't affect you then you are badly wrong. Your teacher is a halfwit, it's not about what affects you currently, it's about what could potentially affect you in the future.

False accusations, divorces and paternity fraud are classic examples of this. Even if a guy is in their teens what happens for example if they have a one night stand or they're with a short term girlfriend? It actually surprised me how often awhile back we got guys in here asking about simple stuff like pregnancies and what they should do since a girl told them they were pregnant and they had no idea what their rights actually were and how to do it.

Your fucking teacher is a classic example of why people are so ignorant about their own actual legal rights in these situations and it has made them very vulnerable to blackmailers and con artists who will take advantage of their ignorance never mind their own government.

It's such a naive thing to say on his part 'How does it affect you?' it doesn't affect many people because they're lucky or they're brought up in safe environments, but that isn't why we have legal rights. It's for the future in case something goes badly wrong.

When it comes to feminism everyone says of the radical feminists that they do no represent the true population of feminists.

Feminism in itself has grown from a mild beginning to now being absolutely rampant and tilting the playing field itself. Situations are a lot more gynocentric.

The very nature of being a woman bestows numerous social and legal rights with very little responsibility on women.

There is an extreme emphasis on equality of outcomes which cannot happen. We need equality of opportunity.

It affects me because feminism has practically become anti-male.

It's gotten to the point where TERF rhetoric has become almost a parody of the Nazi ideology; X oppresses Y, so Y needs to exterminate X. Violently.

And most feminists are anti-free speech; and I am someone who takes the amendments dead serious.

They believe they are opressed. True or untrue it is not wise to agrue believes. I think they are opressed but haven't found the opressor. (same as men). Wouldn't touch that in the podcast, too complicated.

I would take the path:

Feminism lifted women up (great thing). Men need some lifting too in some areas.

It creates the default that men are always the problem. It doesn't address men's issues and has already accomplished what it's (claimed) goal was... equality under the law for women.

Have him name a legal right that men in the west have that women don't. When he can't, that's when you tell him that a movement that has accomplished it's goal is no longer needed.
