This post was reported many times. I have decided to approve this post because , regardless of OPs intentions, people need to know why we need to discuss men's rights.

The following are some legal rights that men do not have that MRAs frequently discuss:

Protections from non-consensual circumcision
Men are uniquely subject to the draft
The right to not be arrested for being a victim of domestic violence
- Predominant aggressor policies inspired by the Duluth Model require that when called to respond to cases of domestic violence, police must arrest the "predominant aggressor," which doesn't mean the partner who started or escalated the violence, but rather, the partner who is most capable of violence, the larger, stronger partner, almost always the man. Men have been victims, called the police, only to be arrested themselves instead of their female abuser because of these policies.
Legal equality in rape legislation
- In countries like the UK and India, only men can legally be found guilty of rape.
Equal protections from workplace discrimination
- In some states, including my own, legislation exclusively protects women from some types of discrimination, such as pay discrimination
Equal sentencing
- In the US, men are given 63% longer sentences than women for the same crime with the same record. This gap is 6 times larger than the gap between black people and white people.
Legal paternal surrender
Discrimination in family courts
The erosion of due process for male students

There are other social issues that MRAs also frequently discuss, including:

Lack of services and shelters for male victims of domestic violence
- There are 2,000 shelters for women in the US and only 1 for men, despite the fact that men make up roughly half of all victims
Male disposability
- See conscription and women and children first policies in instances such as hostage negotiations
The vilification of men and masculinity
Access to higher education
- Men are an increasingly smaller minority on campus, and yet there are still numerous scholarships, programs, and services for women designed to get more women on campus

There are very few places to actually talk about men's issues. While the scope is somewhat limited and the depth as well, it is the best there is.

Some guys come here to vent, as they feel life is hopeless and can not meet standards of expectations by society or other male purpose driven groups. The venting is a form of releasing the pain inside, and hoping to find a sense of community. Similar to say how feminism works, but instead of being female focused, it is male focused.

You will find alot of guys here who have been disenfranchised with society, and are looking to disengage. The subs that had helped these guys develop a sense of self worth have been shut down!

Let me guess, you have many "female friends", you work in IT or other bluecollar work, you are white between 20-35 and have never felt "discriminated for being a man", dude is as predictable as 8 o clock at 7:30 my simpdar is blaring.

Human rights need protecting

Therefore we need to protect men's rights, including by raising awareness and discussing the issues as we do here.
