I was going to make a video about this, but I thought I'd post it here instead. I'm not an MRA or a feminist, I just consider myself a Humanist, but I keep up with both groups every now and then and I just had a suggestion for the subreddit. Take it or leave it, like it or don't, that's fine...

Anyway, I'll be honest with you guys. As much as I think you all have some valid points, this subreddit and most MRA videos make me want to commit suicide. They just drive me nuts.

I initially believed by coming here I might see some adult discussions about serious issues in an organized fashion, but instead I've found what is basically the pro-male version of /r/feminism.

Normal people have the Illuminati, Feminists have the Patriarchy and the MRM has Feminism. I feel like discussing and debunking feminism, at this point, is not working for the MRM. It creates too much push back.

It should be, in my opinion, a secondary objective for the MRM; discussing and debunking Feminism. Likewise, blaming women for all of your problems like a LOT of MRAs do is only going to drive newcomers away, it makes you look petty and just as bad as feminists. Women AND men are creating these problems for us, not just women. Lobbyists and people who write the laws are the issue. This includes men and women, although more men when it comes to writing the laws.

If you guys REALLY wanted to make a difference, instead of sitting around crying like a bunch of tumblr feminists, you would organize a list of laws in detail state by state which are unfair or biased in some way, primarily against men since the MRM is more about male rights, and you would all, in an organized fashion, send letters to your state congressmen and other elected officials. You'd call them, you'd write letters, you'd send emails, and you'd keep doing it every day, in full force, until they HAD to listen and do something about it.

Some people might be doing this, but most, from what I've seen, are just sitting around posting on Reddit and making videos to complain about either laws or ridiculously petty shit like how paying $3 more at a restaurant than a woman was outrageous. That shit turns into a thread with hundreds of comments and leads to basically nothing productive.

Do something, god dammit. Instead of sitting around blaming women and feminists, get organized and make take action yourself, and get all of your friends to do it as well. Youtube videos and Reddit posts aren't going to change custody laws and divorce laws. If you want something done, you have to do it on your own.

Drives me insane every time I come here.

And, stop trying to blame everything on women because feminists piss you off. Not all women are feminists, and not all feminists are women. There's a huge world out there outside of first world countries where millions of women and men are suffering every day, especially women in third world countries, and all of these things have to be taken into consideration. Otherwise the complaints just end up looking like a list of first world problems.

That's all I can really say right now.
