On the short drive to their house, I asked Nate if Glen had ever touched him. Nate was about ten, I think, and probably not that far from puberty. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever have the chance to talk to him again.

I'm only half way through this story.... but holy shit. At this point I would have bought a handgun and put in in glen's chest and explained to him that if I ever heard of him touching my half brother, I was going to kill him...

Actually I would've eventually killed him once I was old enough to know how fucked up what he was doing was....

I'm only halfway through the story though...I've been reading it off and on for the last couple hours.

“What he did was wrong,” she said, “but he’s sorry. He’s back at church. Do you really want to ruin his whole life?”

It's nice to see the mother is worried about ruining this asshole's life and not worried about the disgusting things that were done to her son.

This reminds me of a skit done by David Cross. It was about Mother Teresa raping him and the quote(from the cop in the story) was, well, were you asking for it?"

This 'mother' is one of the worst humans ever. Even worse than Glen, because she allowed it to happen.
