Why is being a man so hard?

A girl tried to rape me ("I can turn you") and I was called a rapist/rape apologist, I was told "men can't get raped," that "being forcibly penetrated is more harmful than forced to penetrate," and someone I cared about very much blocked me. It's not worse to be forcibly penetrated - I had a panic attack at school and I had to go home early, and it's still affecting me. It ruined my life. And it was only attempted rape - imagine how much worse it would have been if it had been carried out.

My point is that male victims of rape or attempted rape have it much worse than female victims of rape or attempted rape, and that's just one way being a man sucks.

Masculinity is performative. It must be demonstrated unceasingly.

Women have innate value, just for existing. They don't have to do anything. It's better to be pretty, but not required. The effort they put into it goes more for makeup and clothes for each other than for staying thin for us.

If you look at how we treat other types of groups, say, scientists, we refer to their "expertise". We're supposed to believe what they say without them having to explain it, because they have credentials. They earned it and can rest on their laurels. There is nothing likes this for men. You can never be done.
