Thousands of women in the US and Canada have marched in response to a Toronto police officer's comment that women should try not to dress like "sluts" to avoid being raped or victimised.

Did the police actually use the word slut?

The "double standards" that women complain about are pure gibberish. They seem to forget that men actually have to work to get laid. Women just have to have a vagina.

Not only that, there are far worse words for men than women. Virgin and creep.

Words like tarty or strumpet appear very old-fashioned

Disregard that blather, 'strumpet' is a fine word, nearly as dandy as 'trollop.'
