Why isn't prison rape considered rape?

Because men can't be victims.

You see, we live in a patriarchy where everything bad happens to women and everything good happens to men. So whenever a man gets raped in prison is it actually a good thing. Because he is a man.

Because the people in prison are not white girls and because the people in prison are criminals. Both of those things basically mean that society just does not give a fuck about them. It's funny because the only "rape culture" that exists in the western world is how ok people are with prison rape. As if we use it as a crime deterrent. "well if they didn't want to get raped, they shouldn't have committed a crime". Most people don't look at what a complex issue this is and don't even acknowledge that letting people get raped as punishment is just horrible wrong. It's a mainly male issue and that certainly doesn't help. It's sick and fucking horrible, and I repeat the only place where society is actually ok with people being raped.

I got into an argument the other day with some moron telling me that "slut shaming" was some huge contributing factor to rape culture. Apparently rape trials are nothing but bashing women on their sexual history and asking what they were wearing when they got raped. Now only does this shit not happen, as it would have almost no bearing in court(it's actually illegal to bring up sexual history in court, even though things like past false accusations would be crazy relevant) it would never even come near as big of a factor as people being so ok with prison rape in "rape culture". There are harsh punishments for rapists, it's way to easy for women to accuse any man of rape and ruin his life, every rape accusation is taken very serious(rightly so) and numerous resources set aside just for victims. Society is not ok with rape at all, well if you're a man then in most places by law you can't get raped, which would be rape culture, or unless you're in prison. So when I hear people talking about "slut shaming" being a factor in rape culture it just gets my blood boiling. People are so ignorant it's not even funny. I've rambled on enough, no the mainstream doesn't give two shits about prison rape. No "feminists" don't give two shits about prison rape, or any rape that isn't a woman, and they are actively making it easier for false accusers to get men thrown in jail. Sometimes it fucking terrifies me what kind of society we live in, and we call our selves "progressive".

There is very revealing history concerning Rape in the USA and how it is presented by W.A.S.P. feminists and how so many have dismissed the history to deny that prison rape exists ... or that men can even have a positive view of or role in addressing rape.

Rape has been made into a commodity to be traded and used - and marketed as an exclusively female market. It has been made into a tool and psychological Goad to bully and force people to react in certain emotional ways.

The term Rape Culture is the name of the 1974/5 film produced by Oscar winning Film makers Margaret Lazarus - Renner Wunderlich.

Many Supposed feminists do NOT want that simple fact recognised by the world as it destroys all of the false reality constructed over that last 40 or so years. It's shocking how many Gender Studies students will waffle on about Rape Culture but don'r even know basic history - it's not presented to them and that is Milieu Control - or as many others call it Brain washing and Cult Indoctrination.

There is no earlier known usage of The Term Rape Culture , even Blackwell Encyclopaedia of Sociology states -

"Rape culture is a concept of unknown origin and of uncertain definition; yet it has made its way into everyday vocabulary and is assumed to be commonly understood. The award-winning documentary film Rape Culture made by Margaret Lazarus in 1975 takes credit for first defining the concept." Source*

The Film was inspired by and featured the work of two groups founded by Black African Americans. The first was "Prisoners Against Rape inc" - a not for profit set up (1972) by Prisoners at Lorton Reformatory Virgina and addressing the issues of rape both inside and outside of prison. They were supported by many.

The leader of Prisoners Against Rape (William Fuller) is even on record as giving evidence to Congress on rape back in the 1980's - and one wonders at the further 20 years delay in addressing prison rape and setting up the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003?

in 1972/3 Prisoners Against Rape started working with the DC Rape Criss Centre through Loretta Ross, Yulanda Ward and Nkenge Toure. The DC Rape Crisis centre was the first such centre in the USA and set up by Black African American women to address the needs of Black African American women and men.

Then when it came to making a film a whole load of white ladies wanted in on camera - Loretta Ross has described a great deal of the behaviour she witnessed as Cynical. She was even amused as how supposedly white lesbian feminist suddenly became straight ladies in the presence on Black male prisoners.

From there it was all down hill - men were pushed out of the Picture Literally, Black women also were made to magically vanish and rape was made into a political tool to advantage women and control men.

I have found feminism to be opportunistic, abusive and cynical in its exploitation of others. It uses racism, Disability Discrimination, Sexism and promotion of Human Rights Abuse to meet it's own ends - the ends justify the means.

It's a bigger and more dangerous cult than Scientology! Who would think that White Chicks could be so manipulative devious and nasty?

Let me get this straight real quick...

You went to Google then to Yahoo! Answers and you're taking what's said on Yahoo! Answers as being factual (you also only stated the question, not any sort of answer to said question that you found)?

While people tend to blast Wikipedia a lot for being open for everyone, it has a strict policy with material and generally finds sources on articles to link to (that's what those little [1] things are for); Yahoo! Answers is a community group where people ask questions expecting to get answers, but not all answers are given with a source to the info (either because it's personal info or the answerer is just lazy as hell).

If you want actual, factual statistics, look for legitimate sites that aren't completely open to the public. Look for a .gov website especially if you can, or any sort of scientific website to find the appropriate answers.
