The letters page of local newspapers will often print almost anything that is articulately written. Although the page may be read, and discussed, by tens of thousands, the number of well-written letters they receive is so small that some of them publish almost anything they receive that does not risk legal action. Therefore, I ask MRAs to start actively writing to their local papers to pursue our issues. Nowadays, this is even easier since you can do it by email. Here are the rules:

  1. Don't ramble. Make your point and leave it at that. Often a single line letter in reply to something that has already been published is most effective. ("xxx demands quotas for women in boardrooms. I will take her seriously when she demands quotas for women in dangerous, dirty jobs with long hours and few benefits as well.")

  2. Don't use personal insults.

  3. Attach contact details so the paper can contact you to confirm you wrote the letter.

  4. Do it. Don't just think about it. Do it.

PS We spend far too much effort debating with feminists on websites and other pointless activities. We will make progress by taking our views to the general public and avoiding closed-group type of situations.
