An ariticle that Cosmopoliton wrote (I found it on the Snapchat story) with picutures of Nick Jonas and how "attractive and sexy" his butt was on the TV show "Running Wild" Imagine if the genders were reversed, someone would be sued or in jail.

It's hard to understand how twisted these people's minds must be, to actually believe that it's "men" that want to kill gay people, and not "radicalized Muslims".

Exactly, the only reason it was a man who had commited the attack was because women in radical Islam don't get rights and aren't even allowed to commit such an attack. Therefore the only option left would be a man.

A survivor stated he talked about getting even for "bombing his country", not that he hates gay folks unless he said more in the three hours he was going at it.

lefty tolerance clashes hard with hardcore religion in a way that makes it a vortex of logic and sense. these women supposedly support everything radical Islam actively tries to prevent, that being women who are educated, free, and independent. but they are an oppressed minority here, so by law they have to feel bad for them. answer? blame men in general. because as a man this guy despised other men. not because his religion actively despises homosexuality.

it's not wrong to judge another person's ideas and call them dumb or inferior even when it's a minority situation. slavery was bad. putting Jews in concentration camps was bad. believing in a particular style of Islam that leads you to hate homosexuals is bad. by all means pity them, but being driven to violence is insane. it's not wrong to say that. Stop just blaming men for this shit. gay marriage is legal in the US. we don't mind it. some of our favorite TV characters are gay. men aren't just gunning them down. radicals with stupid ideals are. for once just say it. Islam as a religion is currently hopelessly stuck in the 1500s. people say it all the time about the Catholic church. just admit it and be honest. or just let this shit continue on while we ignore the real problem and try to turn men into trained dogs who don't even think without being told to....

All that the feminist news article is trying to prove is that men shouldn't be allowed to have rights. I don't think any of us in r/mensrights would ever even consider commiting such an attack, ao why should we lose our rights?

This entire incident is a melting plot of every possible controversial issue: guns, muslims, gays ...

You know 1 year after Sandyhook (remember that one; the deadliest shooting ever until now), there was no media coverage. No anniversaries. The school was demolished! That's like Columbine to the extreme.

The FBI has been known to plant people in mosques to find radicals (mosques have called the FBI on people they found suspicious, only to discover they were hired by the FBI!). Look up MKUltra. The CIA has conditioned people to commit attacks before.

I know this seems wild and out there and you're going to tell me to go back to /r/conspiracy, but this whole thing is turning into debates about men, gays, guns, religion, etc.

Just for a second consider the idea the FBI or CIA is creating radicals domestically for the purpose of extending the current security state. You're seriously going to tell me you believe all the Snowden NSA disclosures, but this idea isn't a possibility? It is. Posts like this address the wrong issue. They are the intent of the distraction. Wake up and ask yourself what type of state you live in. Do you really trust the news networks?

Not to niggle but I think Virginia Tech was the worst up until now.

I live in a place where everyone ignores mental illness and mental disorders so much that they'd rather us talk about anything other than mental illness or mental disorders when a tragic event like this happens.

We teach people how to recognize when they are having a heart attack but we have 70 year old people suffering from ADHD who have no idea that ADHD can be an adult disorder and ADHD is the easiest one to manage - they aren't lazy and they aren't stupid as they've probably been told their entire lives - they have a disorder.

But, no no.

Let's opt not to talk about mental problems and discuss anything else instead; as if walking into a night club and killing 49 people is something a normal person would ever consider.

I'm not saying this to persecute people with mental illness - I'm saying it so that we can start to get people talking about mental illness so that we can recognize that people have a mental issue just as we recognize that people are suffering from a physical issue and help them get resources early so that it doesn't become a later tragedy.

To say that he didn't have a mental problem is to say that killing 49 people with an assault rifle is a normal human act - of course he had a mental problem.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
