For as long as i can remember, I've never been able to understand the old retirement age thing, Women were always able to retire at 60, whereas men ad to wait until 65. Women, we are told, live an average 5 years longer than men. So you would naturally assume that women enjoy a decade of retirement more than men.

With stricter laws on equality being passed in the UK, it had a few unintended consequences. One of them outlawing more favourable insurance premiums for women in particular, and the other being the alignment of retirements ages for both men and women, this has seen protests by women complaining about the change in age at which they can claim their pension.

The bit that makes me laugh is that, because of their incessant droning about equality for decades, the obviously can't complain that it's sexist, so they've gone down another route, claiming they weren't given enough notice!

tough luck as far as i'm concerned, you wanted equality, well now you've got it!
