I find often, that TRP and TBP disagree on what constitutes equality, so I thought to make up this short, hypothetical scenario, and debate who sides with who.

Story:

Both Pablo and Manuel are on their high school soccer team. Pablo, is the goalkeeper for the team, while Manuel is one of the forwards(offensive, goal scoring players). Manuel, scores a lot of goals during the games, and receives a fair bit of praise and notoriety for it. However, Pablo, although making a good amount of saves(when the goalkeeper prevents a goal from being scored), doesn't get mentioned much at all by people watching the games, and doesn't get the female attention that Manuel does. Pablo believes he doesn't feel equal to Manuel, because he doesn't get the chance to play forward.

Pablo, goes to his coach, and complains about this. His coach, tells him that he shouldn't feel that way, because being a good goal keeper helps the team just as much as having a good forward. The coach also tells Pablo that he shouldn't feel jealous of the attention Manuel gets, because playing sports is about doing your best for the team, for your specific role, and not seeking personal glory.

In your opinion, PPD, do you think that there is an inequality between Pablo and Manuel? If not, why not?

NOTE: This is a parody to the debate of female and male gender roles, where TRP believes that, if the man is the provider of income and security, and the woman is the provider of mothership, cooking, cleaning, and sex, than the two roles are effectively equal because both are absolutely needed. Overall, this thread debates whether specialized labor is effectively equal across genders.
