I've been reading up on some classic evopsych literature (Donald Symons and the like) as well as some more modern and have seen some academics pushing the argument that what men find the most attractive is women who hasn't yet born a child and who "has many years of birthing ahead of her" and should therefore be most attracted to females about 15-19 while a lot of other academics follow the line of thought that men prefer women who are the most fertile and should therefore prefer women about 23-27. I've also read some studies by Kenrick and Keefe who argues that men's prefered ages change as he gets older and I think it was Buss who came up with the idea that men might prefer women with the highest fecundity for long-term relationships and the highest fertility for short-term ones.

With all these different, but very plausable, explanations for everything, I find it hard to make something out of all this. What are your thoughts on the matter?
