How does TRP feel about widows?

Unless a widow killed her husband she is not a "single mother" by deliberate action and therefore isn't automatically red flagged for the same character issues single Mons are. Why any man with options would ever choose a woman with another man's kids from any circumstance is beyond me

There's pretty strong consensus that widows get a pass from the usual opinions reserved for single mothers. Personally, I'd still caution men against dating one seriously unless you have kids of your own, it's an unneeded complication and she'll still favour her kids over you. In Canada, if you live with a woman with kids for any period of time you are automatically considered Cohabiting, meaning she can divorce rape you.

Widows without kids are like any other potential prospect. No negative or positive, assuming she's mentally sound about it.

I think a lot of widows fall outside the interest of most TRP guys, as they are usually much older, and TRP is sexual mostly in it's understanding. Who knows if they ride the CC? I think the issue here are the labels used to facilitate efficient communication, are not one size fits all. We use them generally and generically. I'm not sure it would be easy to generalize such a small demographic. I am sure there are widow CCers, but (here's another one for ya) mostly widows are "post-wall"

I've never met a widow, ever, in my entire life. I've never even seen a widow's OKCupid profile.

I'm gonna go with AWALT.

Also -- maybe this is more fruitful -- I don't "feel" any particular way about any kind of woman. I observe and analyze, then I make helpful generalizations.

I think that, if they didn't off their husbands deliberately, they at least drove them into an early grave. As such, they should be avoided at all costs. They just aren't worth the risk...

I view them favorably. Looking for an LTR with a history of solid committed relationships, a widow may fit that bill. Provided she didn't have kids, it wouldn't be a red flag for me, barring some crazy scenario where her husband died mysteriously.
