For this to be true "looking down on" has to be synonymous with "less successful with".

I'm not sure that's true. Neither look down on the woman/men they want relationships with. Both look down only on those they do not want a relationship with.

I fail to see how that affects their RMP, all the people they'd have a relationship with. By definition, those affected would not form part of this RMP even if they did not look down on them.

Shit. Might even ephelp you in the SMP too, prevent you getting tied down to a girl you didn't want a relationship with.

I agree they both do it.

But the universe isn't naturally just. No reason to assume they are "shooting themselves in the foot".

I don't see how either are hurt by it at all.
