A lot of nightclubs/events will let women in free. I think it's more of a marketing tactic as men go to meet women, so more women = more men. I don't think it's on the same level of say a restaurant that wants to charge men higher prices for being men.

Its a marketing tactic, but its also discriminatory. You can market in many ways to increase the number of women in a club, bar, or event without being blatantly discrimitory.

Excusing the marketing tactic gives free reign to any lazy business to discriminate in order to increase their margin.

From an economic perspective this actually makes sense to do and benefits men women and the business. I don't like it but it makes sense and I would probably apply it if I ran a business. That being said pussypass is a real phenomenon that exists but I wouldn't consider this to be one. This is one is more like the "being under 12 gets you 50%off" because of the difference in supply and demand for different demographics
