This is the real reason there is a double standard, a guy will only take so much, because there is no real fear, only discomfort. For women, there is always a possibility of a physical altercation she likely cannot win. I'm glad you quit, but you should have filed a police report to protect yourself from any future unemployment from you having to quit due to sexual harassment. Don't forget how unemployable you are as a man, needing 6-30% more income and whatnot (depending on whichever bullshit statistic you would like to cherry pick from)

Oh, no doubt. One of the managers at my current job has driven away several girls because of how awfully creepy he is. My unemployment only lasted a couple months which I was okay with since I was feeling burnt out and living with my parents so I didn't have to worry too much about money. I'm pretty non confrontational and didn't want to escalate things, which was the main reason I decided to leave.

The vast majority of people are like you, which is why I encourage everyone to report. Any excuse for not reporting means you lie in the bed you made, I don't care who. When a crime is committed to me, I either deal with it personally, taking risk and responsibility on my shoulders, or I report it. In this environment where the victim is so heroic, why do we still see the excuses about not reporting?

This isn't true, though. As a man I would be terrified of someone doing this to me precisely because I'm physically stronger than my female counterparts, which means that they have likely prepared for resistance by carrying a weapon. The alternative outcome is that I fight back and, because I'm physically stronger than my attacker, they can lie and make out that I was the aggressor. Men who don't feel fear in that situation aren't properly thinking about the possibilities in the way that women do, likely because they're less obvious.

And you say he didn't care about the job but again he said this wasn't the first instance, so it's entirely possible he already tried to report it, got it thrown in his face and tried to double down and see if she just buggers off or not, then last straw occurs and he decides to quit.

Man, that hurts.
When i was 16, i've been sexually harassed for months while going to school on public bus, by 3 squeling pigs... Ehm, girls, of 19/20.
The firsts approaches were kinda soft, but suddenly they became more and more pretentious and aggressive, with dirty talks and hands everywhere.
People around used to laugh at this (women, especially), from their stupid perspective it was like an anime gag with the hentai females, annoying the main character, or something like this.
For me it was totally frustrating, because i knew what would happen in case of violence against the poor girls who only wants to play, because they were ugly as fuck and because i was in love with my girlfriend (that now, 15 years later, is my wife - that back in the days, cried from nervousness after hearing about the issue).
One day i've decided to file a police report against them, after asking a friend with a (now old) Nokia 6600, to record everything as a proof.
You know what? At the police station, they've burst into laughs (especially, guess who, a female officer) because, according to them, it was funny and i was very lucky instead.
In the end, I was simply forced to take the bus that came before (1 hour of sleep trashed) to avoid them, because no serious action were taken.
I still have the video (and somewhere, the police report) as a proof for this story, because you know, #believeHer but #whoCaresAboutHim and #supportWomen, #HeforShe.

I like to think that us as people recognizing this is the first step to us not “laughing at it,” or finding it unbelievable that a male would have to escape a female in this manner.
I’m not perfect, no one is, but I’m not going to deny the fact that I have a problem with viewing women, and I’m not even out of high school yet.
But I can see that, we’re all still people, men can and have been raped, and the biological hormones that are ingrained after centuries of reproduction are still going to turn me on when I look at a “bombshell.”
It’ll probably still take time to really accept the male side of gender inequality and double standards (in terms of what women get) in our general society, but taking a step of recognition is much better than saying a person is flat wrong and trying to change that person so that they’re “normal.”

No, I’m saying that the reason society appears to value women and above men, especially in parenting, is because in the natural world women are more important. In the natural world the only reason you exist is to have offspring. Humans, IMO, have gone past that, and while we should value women the same as men, especially in parenting, it’s hard for people to overcome the hard wired instinct.
My point isn’t really that interesting it just got misunderstood point blank and carried off. So sorry if it’s a disappointment, but I was just offering up an explanation as to why men seem to be so discriminated against when it comes to sex, parenting, etc.

You are absolutely incorrect. Women's role in reproduction isn't more important. They give birth and nurture - very important roles, and on paper more important. However, in reality there's more to reproduction than just popping out babies.
What use is a dead baby? None whatsoever. A single mother cannot provide for her baby on her own in nature. The mother will die, the baby will die, the species will not reproduce.
The man has an equally important role in providing food, safety, and someone the child can look up to as a viable adult.
As we can see in modern society, children without fathers are far worse off for it. To put it simply, mothers nurture, fathers raise viable adults.
A baby who grows up to be an unviable adult is perhaps the most dangerous thing to the next generation than any predator or famine, because all they do is kill, steal, and destroy.

If humour has an inexplicable essence, not related to humans(it's only way to be related to the objective world) then I wouldn't use words like objective, nor quantifiable.

To rephrase this question: " would something be humorous if there's noone there". No, i believe that funny needs a subject to exist, because that "something" and the "funny essence" are indistinguishable from each other before perception. Later on I could see it as the prior, you could see it as the latter, but at the end of the day, we would still be making opinions.
(If a tree falls and there's noone there to perceive it, its Both falling and not falling simultaneously)
But:
"Can something humorous be humorous if there's noone there to say it's humorous". This would be wrong. comes with circular reasoning, because if something needs be funny in order to qualify it for the questioning of it's funnyness then it's already funny. To make an actual distinction you would have to accept the premise that something humorous needs a perceiver. Then you can question it, because the comparable would differ.
If that premise is accepted and you believe the answer is that you don't need a perceiver, then it's still not funny, the premise was that the funnyness would've needed a perceiver, if there's no perceiver, then the result is not something classified under "funny".
