Reading: I've read all the sidebar content from the main RP sub. Have been through RPC sidebar a while ago, I used to come here a bit over a year ago as a non-participating lurker mostly but have a good overall understanding of the material.

Finances: Currently hold a good paying job in SEO/Digital Marketing at a mid-sized firm working 30 hours. I'm a couple months away from being done with my 2nd year of college, I'm going to double major in Digital Marketing/Information Technology as that's available in my university. Relative to my classmates, I'm well off because they're all still in the working in fast-food and seeking internships stage, whereas I was able to break into the industry a year ago and move my way up. This is a whole story on it's own, so I'll leave this as is for now. Additionally, I am fortunate to not have debt.

Side-Note: I've been building a small-business on the side, (content marketing) and after 8 months am proud to say that I make around $50 monthly on it, which is almost nothing but it's all passive. One of my key goals is to add to this, and continue to pump out content to grow this. It currently has around 4k organic monthly visitors, with only a couple of monetized pages.

Spiritual: I try to pray before each meal, and before I sleep, and before I do anything difficult, (give a work presentation, take an Exam in school, go to the gym to hit a PR, etc). I value quiet time ALOT, I probably spend at least a few hours a day completely alone (apart from my technology) because I sometimes do work remotely. As far as sharing my faith, I've gotten better at it recently, and have talked in depth with friends who are Atheist/Agnostic, Muslim, etc. I didn't do this when I first converted to Christianity because I didn't feel knowledgeable enough on things like say....church history, the Trinity, the deity of Christ, the authenticity of the NT, the problem of evil, the topic of sovereignty, etc. I've gotten really into studying apologetics, and after two years of fairly consistent study, I've reached a point where I'm quite confident in discussing these issues in depth. I often mess around with my Christian friends, role-playing, and ask questions like "How can Jesus be God Almighty, when he clearly says the one true God is the Father in John 17:3?" This is a classic Muslim attack on Christ's deity.

For the Muslim(who believe Christ was a mere Prophet), you'd open the passage and start at John 17:1 and read through the passage in it's context. Jesus clearly identifies God as being his own Father (17:1), then he says that HE (Jesus) has authority over all people and will give eternal life to all. (17:2). Is there any Muslim on the planet who would accept this? Not a chance.

Then, Jesus says the one true God is the Father (17:3). On it's surface, this sounds like a problem. Except then you understand from reading the whole of the text, that Jesus also claims to be one with his Father, and even a couple of verses later in John 17 says that Jesus had glory with the Father before the world began. (17:5). Therefore if any Muslim accepts Jesus statements in John 17 as being authoritative, then Islam is automatically false, because Jesus is a mere Prophet in Islam, and the Quran says clearly that Allah (God) cannot have a son.

Seeing how literally nobody in my circle of Christians, including lead Pastors that I've spoken to are equipped to handle polemical questions such as these, I've realized it's a huge problem, that's lead me to believe that apologetics should absolutely be taught from the pulpit. The Bible is clear that we should always be prepared to answer questions about why we have the hope that we have. (1 Peter 3:15)

But anyways, that's outside of the scope of this post.

Based on what I've said thus far, it might seem like everything's great, but the reality is I have a considerable amount of struggles as well. Namely, that I'm still living with a super Muslim family. I'm kind of the "black-sheep" so to speak of the family ever since I converted to Christianity. I've debated their leaders, and can honestly and humbly state that it was a great victory for the glory of Christ, and my brothers left the faith of Islam as well and are currently reading the Bible.

All I did was show that paradise in Islam is really a magical brothel for men. I opened the text, and showed them that Muslims are promised 72 virgins, full breasted, with large appetizing genitals (this is often hidden in translation to English from Arabic out of embarrassment) That was enough for my brothers, they didn't even want to hear the rest. The things that the debates were on was regarding the scientific, mathematical, historical, and moral blunders that are copious in the Quran.

My parents and other extended family are still in Islam, and I've brought numerous theological issues to them which they and their leaders have no answer for. But living in a community of Muslims is extremely difficult, as the value systems are diametrically opposed.

I also struggle pretty tremendously with how I handle my relations with women.

I was Agnostic for a while, a few years ago before I became a Christian. In that time, I became a bit of a party boy, and would drink/smoke, engage in pre-marital sexual behavior after I found the RP main sub.

After becoming Christian, I struggle with how to properly deal with seeking a wife.

I fell in love way too hard once, and the girl's family got up and left to the other side of the country. It was awful, I was way too into her, because she was the first attractive Christian girl I knew that was serious about her faith. I was a trainwreck over how it ended, but I've learned a lot from that relationship.

Since then, I've pursued one other Agnostic Christian girl. She used to go to church on Sunday completely alone (never seen a girl do this). But is super attractive, so I went with it. She was pretty cool, I was able to talk her through some concerns she had (mostly problem of evil, and the whole "purpose of life" issue. I made some mistakes in pushing her away (I had lied to her) and didn't feel comfortable pursuing her until I was ready to be completely honest. So I try to keep the door open for something to potentially happen in the future, we still text a bit (like once a month) and see each other around once a month when we both volunteer at the same place. She was pretty angry before when I'd pushed her away though, so this may not develop into something deeper in the future, and that's okay.

Well gents this has been WAY too long of an intro-post. Anyways I'm really hoping to step into this community and contribute, and grow more in my faith and in my career and life during these few and vain days that we pass through like a shadow.

God bless you all.
