Scripture does not make such designation to one particular sex. Both men and women have the ability for a variety of reasons to give into rage, brawling, outbursts, etc.

Beer makes a brawler might occur in men more than women for example, but not always.

Hormones might make women act crazy a little each month, but my hormones make me pretty insane as a teenager.

Immaturity, emotions, anger, rage, passion, and the full range of emotion and/or sin is common to all people. Most of the specific instruction to just men or women has to do with leadership or serving and with that I think you can look to Genesis 3 where part of the imputed curse to women is the desire to possess or control her husband even though it is his role to lead her.

I don't know if it does.

There's a number of reasons that cause that type of behavior and that make it so acceptable, but we are called to have self-control. I'll just pull from my own thoughts and say that such behavior is from the flesh and the spirit. One may lead us to know what should be done and what's acceptable, and the other does the opposite. Outside influences are a factor, but the flesh and the spirit are at war.

I think somewhere it says that a man should love his wife the way Jesus loves his followers. The followers might be up and down, or going through changes and phases and moods, but maybe Jesus's love is much more steady and reliable than that?
