A few questions on hypergamy

I feel like this one gets ridiculously caught up in semantics. I married my husband because I could not possibly do better than him. We are incredibly compatible as partners. I realize that by my very human nature I may daydream about some sexy guy I ran into at the grocery store, but to me it's about being aware that this is human nature that was advantageous for women far before my time. Much like my spleen, that part of my biology isn't doing much for me anymore. A lot of women seem to mistake these feelings of wondering about other people with some sort of sign from above that their partner isn't right for them. I just remember "this is normal, we will both feel this way from time to time, there's no reason to run away with those thoughts." Honestly I haven't had to put this into much practice because I really do sometimes feel like I married out of my league anyway. I think it's important to consider issues before they come up and to accept and face unfortunate realities rather than pretend they don't exist until a problem actually arises.

TRP throws the word around as an epithet, but it's no worse or better than a guy being attracted to a hot girl even when's he in a relationship. Believe me, the vast majority of guys in happy marriages still notice hot girls. They just choose not to act on it (most of the time).

If the roles were reversed and women were in the habit of approaching men, much more cheating would happen. This is why gay men have many more lifetime partners than heterosexual men.

Hypergamy isn't constantly seeking out the best partner, it's only being satisfied when you feel your partner is better than you. That's how RPW can be happy with their boyfriends/husbands even though they are not necessarily super stars or millionaires. Since I believe my SO is better than me, I have no desire to seek out anyone else. That's hypergamy. The best way to counteract hypergamy is to be with a man that you respect, and look up to. It's partly the man's job to hold his frame, and partly the woman's job to try to not tear down his frame.

Hypergamy can help in selecting a good candidate for a husband/SO if you choose one when you are young. When you are young and at your peak SMV, and you choose a good partner, then you have a better than normal chance of making a lasting relationship because the man will generally increase in SMV as his career progresses, while the woman's SMV decreases as her fertility reduces.

My husband is crazy hot, so I never have problems with hypergamy because he is always the hottest guy in any room. Yay, me!

I think it's definitely real to an extent. Women would rather fight one another over an alpha male, than have a beta all to themselves. Or they keep beta around to do their dirty work while sleeping with an alpha on the side.

I think human nature in general is hierarchical, that's just who we are and we need to accept it. Much of Feminism and the intellectuals in general are hung up on this ideal of egalitarianism. Yet no society in the history of the world has been completely egalitarian. Even tribal cultures, that liberals like to laud for their "communal lifestyle," could be ruthless and cruel in terms of hierarchy.

Those of us who have taken the red pill are aware of this hierarchy. Women who can access better men, will try to do so. When women lose their SMV or never had it to begin with, they simply settle with low quality men and grow to resent them.
