Give the guy a reasonable amount of time to bring up the conversation. In my experience when he’s into to me he will bring it up within the first month usually, but for sure by month 2. It usually either starts with some joke about if I’m seeing/texting other guys or him testing it out calling me “my girlfriend” to see how I react. These are both really natural moments to say “I’m not talking to any other men and I don’t want to be. Are you?” Or “oh girlfriend? I like the sound of that, can I use it?” This way it doesn’t need to be a big talk, it’s more flirty and you fall into it.

If you are looking for a leader, I would strongly recommend you give him time to bring it up first. Let him lead on this so he will feel less pressured. If you get to two or three months and he hasn’t brought it up, then is the time to talk. But 2 weeks is way too fast for YOU to raise it.

I think that although it’s exciting to have found someone that seems to have checked all your boxes, 2 weeks is barely any time at all to get to really know someone.

I relate to this because my boyfriend and I both just “knew” after our first date that we wanted to be serious but we both stepped back and let it develop naturally for awhile. I don’t think we had the talk about becoming exclusive until he brought it up around the 1.5-2 month mark.

So my advice is to enjoy your time together! It’s a very good sign that he’s deleted his profile but if you haven’t naturally settled into an exclusive relationship or he hasn’t began a discussion in 1-2 months maybe gently bring it up and see if he’s receptive.

My husband and I met on a Thursday night, spent all day together that Friday and Saturday, and defined our relationship Saturday night. Sometimes when you know, you know. I don’t think it’s too early if that’s what feels right.

Not much to add the others haven't said, but delete your dating apps proactively. You can get them back easy enough if needed, but if I was in his place, it would be something I'd appreciate a lot if I noticed you did before any conversations about it.

Just ask him outright. If he is already exclusive then it will be a short conversation. Communication is key.

Figuring out the DTR convo is by intuition. Somewhere between 2 weeks and 2 months seems roughly normal. If you are the one to initiate the conversation, make sure you’re doing it from a place of earnestness and positivity and not in an anxious or insecure headspace.

Full text: Hey guys, started seeing a guy (24F/29M) around 2 weeks ago, it’s going really well, he’s incredible, checks every box and more! We have very similar lifestyles and it feels like I’ve found the male version of myself! I’ve met a few of his friends, he’s met some of mine and he’s mentioned that he’s looking to settle down soon, get married, have kids, etc.

I met him on dating apps, and I saw he deleted his profile. Mine is still up, but we haven’t discussed this yet. I’m not seeing or talking to any other men- I stopped messaging others/going on dates after our first date.

I don’t want to rush into anything too soon, but want to maybe bring up a discussion on where he sees this going, ask explicitly if we are “exclusive”, etc.. Is it too early to have this conversation? Or should I just wait and see how it goes a bit more?
