I’m (f 31) in a relationship with my bf (male 29). We dated for two years when I was 28 and he was 26. Then we broke up for a year because he wasn’t ready for marriage and kids.

A year goes by and my current bf and I get back together. We both genuinely enjoy each others company. We are not the couple to break up during Covid cause of incompatibility. We’re mentally and emotionally very connected. This time we are talking about marriage and children more. He still isn’t ready but is giving me money at the end of the year to buy myself a home. His reasoning is so that he shows commitment through financially providing for me via helping me with my life goal of owning a home (it’ll only be in my name). He also pays all the bills and gives me money regularly and I save all my money from work.

At some point in a year or 2, he might be ready for children and we can reevaluate marriage. Since I have a low libido and working through health issues now (chronic yeast infection/pre diabetes) we’ve agreed for him to sleep with other women throughout our entire relationship. He said he would use condoms, I subconsciously stopped making out with him because I know he’s probably going down on these women.

Lately he wanted to make out and It turned into an argument. I don’t want to make out with him unless we set boundaries on the casual sex part. He would have to use condoms and not give oral sex. I’m even ok with him telling his casual sex partners that he’s in a relationship and he’s setting boundaries. He’s given me an std before and with his habits I’m afraid he can do it again.

Does this even seem like a relationship that can thrive?
