Income/ projected income is an important factor when I am considering a man to date or marry.

I want to be able to spend time with my family when I get married and when I have kids I will either become a mostly stay at home mom who works part time.

The thing is, this requires money to work, and the man needs to be making some. I don't ask for luxury or a big house. But I do ask that he makes enough. Enough to be secure. Enough that I don't become a dominant career woman who neglects her family out of necessity. And he doesn't need to be making this income now but within the next 5-10 years.

Why am I considered a bad person on reddit for being honest about this? I think my POV is RPW.

THAT SAID: money is not the only or most important factor!!! Character, fatherhood, manliness, love, integrity, and mental sanity are much more important. Career choices and the ability to hold down a job, are a part of the picture as well. In an ideal world we would all have a little apartment that was clean and our kids would be able to play outside every day without running into gangs, and we would be able to afford rent/ gas / healthcare and we would be able to be stay at home moms and submit to our loving husbands while we make sure our kids lead a wholesome life. But ideals are not always feasible if we neglect the means to them.
