I've been feeling a bit stressed and less-than in my relationship for the past couple of months. My bf makes about 3 times as much money as I do and is living a much more lavish lifestyle. He has no problem providing, paying for me to accompany him on the numerous trips we take and buying me gifts but that made me feel really self conscious, and I noticed I started to become needy and build up some resentment. Feeling like this was what set in motion all the improving below and he couldn't be more proud of me. I am so lucky to be with him in so many ways, I look up to him and at the same time, he's supportive and helping me grow and reach my full potential.

I passed my last Software Testing certification 3 weeks ago, scoring 83%.

Two weeks ago, I figured out I haven't had a job interview in a year and my online CV is really outdated, so I brought it up to date and applied to 6 open positions on Monday morning and by Monday evening, I had 3 job interviews lined up. By Wednesday, all 6 companies had called me to set up interviews. For the past 2 years, I've been really caught up with personal development and didn't give my career too much thought, but seeing all these companies interested in me was a real boost in (professional) confidence. By the looks of it, I've already passed the technical interviews I attended, so I'm looking at 3 possible job offers to choose from. I'm estimating at least an 80% pay raise and couldn't be more delighted!

I have started laying down a serious budgeting and savings plan. This is still a work in progress, but with the pay raise from the new job and careful spending, I would be looking at my first ever decent savings by the end of the year. I finally feel like an adult now!

I look forward to my seaside holiday at the beginning of August. After all the stressing job hunting process, some laying in sun and catching up on my reading is exactly what I need.

Lesson learned: A good relationships is not necessarily rainbows, unicorns and a daily smooth ride, but a path to self actualization.
