That list is too real for the majority

[–]Endorsed Contributorredpillbanana-2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The majority being the blue-pill folks.

[–]Endorsed Contributorredpillbanana4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is a much better list. The only item I would add would be:

Newly-gained knowledge of the massive bias, conflict of interest, and general man-hating in family court.

[–]Captain_Swing14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

In fairness nearly all the points she makes, she suggests things the wife should do to fix the problem.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And by the "problem", she means the husband being a poorly trained dog, as opposed to a well-trained one. Almost all of her suggestions are "if he has been a private person for all of his life, train him to share his emotions and be just like you!"

[–]sh1v0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed, that's a huge step up from most of these '10 things wrong about your husband that he needs to fix' lists. Even if some of them just amount to 'tell him he's doing X wrong and needs to fix'.

I mean, it advocates having more sex with your husband, so it is doing at least some things right. And amid a sea of shitty bluepill advice, that's rare.

Shame from being left by someone they thought loved them

[–][deleted] 26 points27 points28 points 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

I'll weigh in with my experience.

  1. They're shocked. That's because about 70% of the time, it's the wife who files for divorce.

Not in my case. I filed first. Actually, I recall her squeezing my head in an angry hug to try to get me not to leave her, while I was playing Assassins Creed. So, no, I wasn't and am not shocked.

  1. Technology takes precedence over their relationships.

She was playing around on her computer/phone than I was. And I'm in IT, I kinda have to use a computer/cell phone.

  1. They stopped wining and dining after the "I do's".

We made it a rule to have a date night once a month, sometimes more often than that. Didn't stop her from being ungrateful.

  1. A lack of work/life balance.

She forced me to talk to her during the day so she could birch about the kids, on top of the stress from work. Home and work life were fused.

  1. A feeling that "my wife and I grew apart."

Hard to have similar interests when you are a Comp Sci major and your wife has trouble with math that involves the order of operations or letters.

  1. A newfound appreciation of sex.

We had sex 2-3 times a week. I did all of the work.

  1. They do boyish things with their money.

Yeah, paying off her debt and taking care of two kids that weren't mine is "boyish". I think in that year and a half, $100 was excess spending just for me.

  1. A longing to hear they're attractive.

This I'll agree with. I was called "stupid" more than "sexy".

  1. Difficulty expressing emotions.

At first, yeah. But then she made me more emotional so she could manipulate those emotions.

  1. Lingering affection and gratitude.

Towards her? No. No affection or gratitude at all. The only thong I'm gracious for is finding TRP.

Gracious thongs indeed. ;)

Great post.

I'm sick and fucking tired of these articles and blogs, usually authored by women, telling men how relation-shit fails are all the man's fault. Save the advice, cunt. Did it ever occur to you that men maybe start ignoring their wives because after the words "I do", she becomes a frumpy mess who chops off her hair, and is only concerned with daytime TV, "play dates" with the kids, and chatting up her other married friends on her iphone?

Nothing like a divorce threat to put a husband on his best behavior. Once he shapes up, you can throw him a few bones, like letting him spend some of the money he earns.

Dalrock always has something interesting to say about this kind of divorce fantasy. See articles like Threatpoint and Lowering the Boom.

If it were possible to read a woman's mind, marriages could be prevented.

"The double standard of morality will survive in this world so long as the woman whose husband has been lured away is favoured with the sympathetic tears of other women, and a man whose wife has made off is laughed at." -- H.L. Mencken

7 pisses me off way too much. It's "boyish" to want to have awesome life experiences and enjoy the one shot you get to 110%. I mean, given that you all ready have your necessities covered and have a savings budget going.

[–]nb2k5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What a load of pure BS. My ex left because I was beta as anything and let her hamster away her stupid ideals until it was too late.

The only thing I had in common with that list was number 1.

Some states are #2. My cousin and I live in Arizona. She got laid off from a great job and never went back to work. No kids. She had friends lie for her. At the end, he paid $26k in alimony. Luckily he had friends and family to stay with while he lumpsumed the cash payment.

He recently saw her at the airport as a bartender. Serves her right. I hate the bitch.

  1. Lack of Work/Life Balance

"Fuck bitches. Make money." - C.G. Latore Wallace

  1. They do boyish things with their money...A sports car. Skydiving lessons. Divorced men do it all!

Translation: Using his $ for his own shit and not buying her more things

[–]BooksofMagic2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That article should be titled - Husband Husbandry - How to manipulate your man to give you what you want without giving anything back!

[–]scallopkid1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You can tell by the web design that it's going to be bullshit. The only thing that would make it better is a "slideshow" format.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Marriage really needs a PR makeover.

For the low cost of potentially half your lifetime earnings, you too can be anchored to an outrageous shrew who will bitch, cheat, and leave with your kids if you ever stop making her feel happy! Order now and get the 100% Sex-Free Bedroom upgrade, great for those long nights of post-nuptial regret you will experience for years to come as your ghastly spouse lies indignant beside you! Don't forget, married or divorced, you'll be paying for life!

It's a hard sell.

[–]widec0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

  1. They stopped wining and dining after the "I do's."

They got that one right, it's often said here that if you are going to marry then never stop gaming.
