I see a lot of posts about being socially isolated and while I think opportunities for avoiding social isolation are abundant in a school setting, they can be somewhat less abundant after it. What annoys me is that no one else on the red pill actually took the time to address this issue, all we read are bullshit motivational 101 posts and the generic "har har women are evil" sort of garbage, nothing actionable, quite sad really. Moving on, lets talk about how to avoid being lonely at home on a weekend night like this.

I"ll be honest with you, you should have invested a lot into your social life already or this is going to be TOUGH!

You should have tried to make friends in college and even in high school, at least some friends. If you were a hermit during those years, this is going to a very tough thing to do as you will find when reading this thread. Most socially savvy people in their 20s make a lot of friends in college and then meet new friends through their college friends, that way they have a quality social life and aren't stuck in a position where they end up making friends with weird and sketchy people (a bit on that later on).

And ask yourself if you REALLY want this.

Some of you prefer a social life filled with board games played with nerdy guys that don't shower, this is not for you. This is going to be a lot of work and at times, it might not even work, but if you want it then in the end it is going to be worth it. This is not going to happen overnight and this guide was made for the guys on here tired of being socially isolated. Now lets start.

It's all about location.

You need to move to a big city or at least a vibrant "younger" area, the last place you want to be is the suburbs or some town full of older people who are settled down. I would say that the very place you should avoid is the kind of place most people worth interacting with leave when they graduate high school, those kinds of towns. You want to be where the fun people in their 20s are at, nowhere else.

Can't afford it? Money is an issue? If we're being real here, I would tell you that you should have tried harder in college and been smarter with your decisions but since this is a guide, spend your energy working on that. I mean just think about it, if you are going to be a hermit during the weekends, spend that time looking for a job that can actually help you afford rent in a big city or work on getting to that point.

I am not going to list out the options for you, as a man you need to do your due diligence and spend the time to finding the opportunities. If you do not want to move to a big fun city or have some grudge against it because "omg it is so expensive", please stop reading here and have fun being stuck in a small town full of people who settle down by the age of 25.

Get on social media.

The reasoning is simple, most fun people in their 20s are on social media. People post worthwhile events going on in the city to Facebook. If you made quality friends in the past who knew where the party was at, your Facebook will show you what events they want to go to and fun parties are going on around the city, parties you would have otherwise never found out about. The key is you make friends with quality people and add quality people from your past to your account, you don't add fake followers and spammy accounts.

A decent social media account shows you're in touch with the times and not an outcast, I know it can seem stupid but it is the reality of the current times. To put it in regards to status, people following you on Instagram and wanting to be friends with you on Facebook is the modern day version of social proof and social capital, anyone who has read the sidebar knows how important social proof is when it comes to attracting women. Obviously this part is less important than actually using social media to stay in touch with old friends.

Now there is a vocal majority on this sub who are against using social media but ask yourself how many of these people have a social life worth envying and are actually making posts on how to actually build one, you have your answer. If these anti-social media types are willing to make a quality post of their own on how to avoid social isolation, then you can ignore this part of the thread.

But if we're living in reality, the fun people are all on social media.

Now get in touch with the crowd.

What are the younger and fun people doing in a city? What kinds of bars and nightclubs are popular with them? What activities seem to be popular?

Go do that, ideally go with a friend but in many cases people at these activities will be understanding of why you are there. Whatever you do, do not run game and go full PUA there, EVER!. In fact if you have a friend like that who wants to go full Simple Pickup or Mystery Method in these places, do not take him along. You are just there to make friends, not to practice game.

If you do this right, some people from this crowd will start to invite you out to their parties and events they throw.

The part of doing it right is you stay in touch with the fun crowd that likes going out on the weekends and actually socializing. You need to avoid the older married crowd and the loser crowd that prefers to stay in during the weekends and looks down on socializing, usually being blue pilled and full of fatties and feminists.

Fill your weekend with activities, your city should have some sort of an events program with fun things going on.

Whether it is a team kickball or a bar crawl, go to these events (ideally with just one friend) and use them to meet new people. All it takes is due diligence and looking around online, most big cities will have these activities if they have a younger population as most major cities do.

Most of the times you won't see these people again but if you regularly go to these events, you will slowly start to run into some familiar faces. Some of these people might become partners you can hang out with or have drinks with once you've become familiar enough with each other, obviously taking the red pill should show you how to act in social settings!

These sorts of events will also draw normal social people and occasionally fun people you want to be friends with. Do this over and over again, some of these people will eventually turn into friends you can go out with.

And if you went to a big enough school, reach out to the alumni network!

If you went to a big university, you will find an alumni club in most big cities, join it. You will already find people you have something in common with and some old classmates who are still down for partying. A good number of the people you meet at the alumni meetups will help you get adjusted to the city and let you know of what spots are good for visits. If you hit it off well with them, you will likely have people to go out with.

That's mostly it.

If you read the sidebar and followed the principles, this should be an easy thing to do. I will warn you that if you are starting from scratch, were a total hermit in high school and college, and never really put the time into your social life then this is going to be one tough as hell journey full of a lot of struggles and setbacks. Not saying it can't be done but it is an uphill battle.

Anyone that has more suggestions can add them in the comments too, we need to get more material on this.
