With red pill information (be it red pill in the trp sense or red pill in the /pol/ sense) there always is the risk that the recipients of the information will shoot the messenger. So the default advice is "first rule of the fight club: don't talk about the fight club". Sometimes that advice doesn't cut it though. Just imagine your brother being in the process of making huge mistakes in his life. Watch it happen, let it happen doesn't sound that appealing.

With that in mind here is a video which showcases how to influence people in a way that they still like you after you have presented them with uncomfortable information.

Campus Reform Correspondent Cabot Phillips played "Candidate's Cribs" with young people in front of the White House. After trying to guess which Presidential candidate has lived in a series of mansions, many of them were shocked to find out that Hillary Clinton had lived in all four of them.

He doesn't come out with "Hillary is filthy rich, if you go by your principles you can't vote for her". He can't do that cause they would reject the information and rationalize it in a way that turns it on the head. Studies show that when presented with information going against one's worldview this information reinforces the worldview.

Notice how he presents himself as their friend and mirrors their worldview. He uses "us" and "we" often, says they are playing a game together. Names the buildings in a "anti-rich" language. Reinforces their answers via "Jeb Bush making bank" "Ben Carson, making that neurosurgeon money". Then he throws the information in he really wants them to have "What if I told you all of those belong to Hillary Clinton?". He then lets them process the information and uses their preconceived anti-rich notions he had reinforced minutes ago against his target, Hillary "Does that make her a little less relateable to you?" "Do you question her.. " "Does that make it look like she is kinda hiding it..." Then when they come to the conclusions he wants them to make he nods in agreement constantly.

In the end he dropped information on them which is very uncomfortable for them to have and walked away with them thinking positively of him and with them agreeing with his opinion.
