The women they describe exist. Of course they do. Just like the stereotypical player or frat boy exists. The problem is they're short sighted and lack the perspective to see that women are still human beings and thus equally as diverse as men. They don't hold the ability to shift perspective and see that for every woman who "shit tests" their (potential)/partner there's a dude manipulating situations and playing games on the opposite end to get laid.

Ahhh, the typical "Not All Women Are Like That." In that case, please show me how the majority of women aren't hypergamous and superficial. Women initiate divorce 70% of the time; so, the vast majority of women are "like that."

You can just feel the smug "I am better than you" tone in these comments arguing against RP advocates.

Well, it's not my fault many women looooove dominant man with power and confidence.

This is a fairly common cultural stereotype that you've bought into hook, line and sinker. It's also what men who don't really know women think women want.

"You are inexperienced with women and possibly a virgin so, in my assumption, your point is invalid."

Yeah, just ignore all the male characters in mad men/house of cards and other RP entertainment that majority of women get wet for.

Depending on what type of people you spend time with, it's really not that common.

"If your spending time with sluts than yeah."

TRP gives men advice on getting a very particular type of woman -- the woman who just wants sex and dominance. Why would you want that when you could have a relationship of such deeper intimacy and connection?

"TRP just want sluts, none of them have met women like my special snowflake."

TL:DR Asking for a intellectual discussion is too much to ask for these days and non-RP advocates are massive hypocrites that advocate respect for all and fail to dish it out.

I'll start here since this post seems reasonably tame.

I've been lurking for a bit out of genuine curiosity. I'm a woman who values equal opportunities for all individuals regardless of their race, sexual orientation, class, religious beliefs, and of course gender.

Despite the fact that my stance regarding gender issues is an ocean away from the values that many people here seem to hold in high regard, I'm not interested in debating with anyone here. I enjoy studying sociology, psychology, kinesics, and the like. I am putting my opinion aside in order to objectively observe the behavior of the users in this sub and their communication styles.

Hopefully this thread will serve as a good starting point. I might ask questions from time to time if that's okay with you. Again, I'm not attempting to cause a disturbance. I simply want to gather information about the social structure within this group.
