I think you're right. It is simple. The problem is that all of the positive masculine traits that beget the success you're talking about have been systematically attacked and demonized for the last 50 years.

Competition is bad. Play fair. Everyone gets a trophy. Why go to the gym? What are you trying to prove? Your success is someone else's failure. Put others first. Be a good boy. Take those college loans. Get married. Take that mortgage you can't afford. Provide for your family.

Once you're brainwashed simple concepts take a little extra effort to comprehend and internalize.

I don't think The Red Pill is supposed to be all that revolutionary, radical, and enlightening.

Women prefer fit, confident, successful, interesting men who have their choice of women and make women earn their validation and commitment, over a timid nice guy who gushes complements and love poetry hoping to win a girl over with unearned niceness.

That doesn't make you say wow. It makes you say duh.

Yet for some stupid reason, the rest of the world refers to the act of getting physically fit, educated, socially apt, and professionally successful, dressing nicer, acquiring useful skills and interesting hobbies, and generally becoming somebody that's actually attractive to women and worth a shit as "manipulation." Like you're tricking women into sleeping with you by working out and buffing up, getting a good job that makes decent money, developing your social network, and acting confident and aloof as though you have your choice of women (because at that point, you do). No, you're supposed to act like a social retard to help women weed you out early, because if you improve yourself and succeed at life and someone sleeps with you never knowing you used to be a loser, that's dishonest trickery and counts as rape.

The parts of The Red Pill that the rest of the world really hates and that are a lot more controversial are the uncomfortable truths about female sexuality. The female mind can rationalize a lot of things that would make your average male sick to his stomach, and in the current climate of no shame, no guilt, and no incentive to be honorable, there's a lot of female cheating and frivolous divorce, cloaked in a fog of rationalizations where every woman thinks her situation is unique and special, and her behavior is uniquely excusable. Do men screw people over and suck ass, too? You bet. But the world never leaps to our defense and tells us it's the woman's fault for driving us to cheat by working too hard to provide for us.

Nobody tells men what's really attractive, what really works, and why they've really been fucking up all these years. Nobody tells men what they really have to do to maintain a successful relationship with a woman, much less get lucky once or twice.

Sounds about right to me.

Game = signifying (or faking) your status in order to attract women

status = access to resources

resources could be friends, money, power, family - anything that could benefit the woman's child she will be having with you

So why is this so complicated? Well, as you will find in this thread, lots of guys think this is much more complex.

But, starting from simple foundations, great complexity can manifest. Look at DNA and fractals. Simple rules can create complex games full of complex strategies. Mastering this game is not easy or straightforward.

Another aspect of the Red Pill, is the pill. Since the advent of modern feminism, women and society in general have been claiming none of this is true. Wisdom extant since the dawn of civilization has been cast aside for "reality is a social construct".

I'm no traditionalist, but before throwing away ancestral wisdom one needs some sort of evidence. But don't get me wrong, the Red Pill is not a throwback to traditionalism, rather, like the PUA movement, it's a belief system pieced together from scratch using the most objective criteria possible.

I'll boil it down just a bit further:

Women are attracted to anything that will help make and raise healthy babies. Wealth was a way to ensure you would be taken care of, so that worked. The big brawny guys could also protect you from other guys, and ensure you had enough to eat. High-status guys had the same effect.

Unfortunately, the "making babies" and the "raising babies" attractions are often at odds, which is where this concept of "alpha fucks, beta bucks" comes from. The alphas make the babies, the betas pay for them, and that provides a level of attraction from the female perspective for both of these personalities.

It's the same with what men find attractive in women. Anything that will give him the best offspring. Larger hips, bigger breasts, healthier skin, symmetrical facial features, well-nourished without being overweight, etc.

If you are so inclined you can read a play by Aristophanes called "Ecclesiasouzae" or Assemblywomen in which some women outvote Athenian men and install a system of optimized hypergamy and a crude form of socialism by putting on false beards and infiltrating the voting assembly.

This play is 2500 years old.

Twas a joke.

Nobody would have allowed women to vote.

But they knew what would happen.

So, what you describe is not even the tip of the iceberg.

The way I see it, much of TRP focuses on the flaws of women, not so much the integrity of men. This is because men naturally (also encouraged by society) worship women like flawless goddesses, and having this reality ripped apart before their eyes is like a devout Christian realizing that there is no all loving God. It's kind of like /r/atheism except replace God with women.

Thus, in the wake of this tragedy, men seek further knowledge about why women don't want to mate with them and how they are flawed and must be dealt with.

On a deep intrinsic level, we are all aware of this age old phenomenon. However, our ever so advanced "civilisation" masks all of it under a politically correct veil. This veil has served humanity as a whole very well, allowing it to rapidly advance, but comes at a cost. We are becoming ever more distant from our primal roots, no longer in touch with nature and how things naturally operate. Thus, many men today truly believe the PC fairy tales our beloved feminists and friends regurgitate. OP may be lucky in the sense he was not exposed as much to said bullshit

Red pill has been the norm for centuries and still is the norm in most of the world (outside of the U.S.). The fact that it is so controversial just shows how much people have forgotten in recent decades.
