Some background on me: Found RedPill when this sub was under 40K. I was pretty much a BP for most of my life. My parents were immigrants and my father had no good advice when it came girls in America. His advice from the old country was more about bashing my self-esteem than building me up.
So I resigned myself to trying to figure it out on my own. Throughout high school, I went from being friendzoned by one girl to the next. It was a pattern I'd repeat all throughout my mid-twenties. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what I was doing wrong and why were all these girls I was spending time, money and being nice to fucking other guys? I didn't get it.
That's why I believe in RedPill. It explains women's behavior in clearly repeatable and predictable patterns. I can see how those women saw me when they put me in the friendzone, as someone who was no real threat to their virtue. Like I wasn't a valid candidate for experiencing their pussy.
On a fluke I started taking ballroom dancing lessons. One of the things you gain from ballroom dancing is that confidence. You gain the ability to approach women to dance and not care if they reject you. It's simply 'next.' One of the interesting things I noticed is that there is some similarity in terminology in ballroom. A girl wants to dance with a man who has a strong frame. By strong frame in Ballroom, I mean that your body is solid and in the proper position. The girl feels immediately safe in your arms. That way she can follow your lead. If your frame is weak, she can't follow. You discover rather quickly if you have a connection with a girl or not. It got to the point where I would be dancing 4 hours a night 4 nights a week at different clubs all over town. I was in the best shape of my life. Dancing was providing me with a satisfaction I wasn't getting being micromanaged at my day job. It was just me reacting to the music, not being a wrist at work and being told where to move the mouse by the post-wall nutjob wife of my CEO who would sit with me daily and look over my shoulder.
By this time, I'd become a decent dancer, not great, but solid in the basics. One of my partners(a married woman) invited me to an dance event(advanced training) along with one of her friends. I picked up my partner and she asked me to drive her to her husband's job so she could say goodbye as we went off for the weekend. He gave her a big hug and we left. It was awkward standing there, the notion that this guy I really didn't know well, was trusting me with his wife for the weekend. On the car ride to the event, my partner confessed to me she had cheated on her husband. This woman had my respect being intelligent and sharp, but when she told me about her marriage, she just became typical. Long story short, she lost a bunch of weight and eventually left her husband. I think she started dating the jock stud from high school. At this time Facebook had just taken off and people were getting back in touch with people from high school.
Anyway at this event, it turned out that I was one of the better dancers there, not so much because I was that good, but rather all the well known dancers skipped this smaller event. But never had I felt so many women's eyes on me. It was a weird kind of power knowing that I could ask any woman to dance and know that she'd say yes. I avoided eye contact with the less attractive women and only danced with the hottest girls and the friends I had brought. One advantage of having two women with me who knew how I danced, there were times I could dance with both of them at the same time and it made me look really impressive to other women who were just beginners.
There were women who blew me off earlier in the day during the training sessions assuming that they were better dancers than me. When it came time to be social at night, once they saw me dance with other girls, it was clear to them I was just tolerating their 'snobbishness.'
I was dancing with the hottest girls and they were captivated. I was just being me and having fun.
During this time in my life, I was able to pull girls and it was so easy that I had trouble wrapping my brain around it. Night after night I'd be with a different girl(some ONS, some Plates). It was fun.
I ended up marrying my least crazy plate, who I also met dancing. We've been together for 15 years. She had lost her job and needed a place to stay temporarily till she got back on her feet. She moved in and started cooking for me and never left. She is a great cook and an even better baker. Also all the boxes of her shit in my garage were heavy and I didn't feel like lifting them again.
A little while back one of my old dancing buddies invited me out. He was celebrating his divorce. He had continued to dance and remained in great shape whereas I got married and got fat. I'm working to change that though.
I met him at a club that had a bar in the middle with some floor space around it for dancing, but not a whole lot. Now being married and out of the game, it was a intimidating a little being there. I'd gained a lot of weight over the years and just by looking at me my SMV is signifcantly lower than it used to be.
However, I could still tell which women could ballroom dance and which ones. The other great thing about ballroom, is that it can help you eliminate the need for talking to women. Dumpy Asian me walked up to a girl and just held out my hand and smiled. She danced with me and I think she was impressed. I controlled her on the dance floor and kept her from hitting other people and waiters. There's a feeling of hesitation when you dance with a new girl, but once she knows that you know what you're doing and she can trust your lead, you can sense her willingness to follow. You literally feel her body trusting you.
I know I talked at length about ballroom, but RedPill is the shit I wish my dad had told me. It's also the philosophy I intend to live by and teach to our son. Ballroom was my initial glimpse into leading a RedPill life. That's not to say that there aren't any BluePills in ballroom because there are BluePills in every walk of life.
Pursuing something that you love and enjoy should be your primary goal and pulling hot girls is a by-product of that focus. Not the other way around.
Ballroom is an activity where women are predisposed to looking for men with strong frames. You're not going to be successful with a weak frame. When you have a strong frame in ballroom, it strengthens your frame in other aspects of your life. You're not going to see a lot of morbidly obese women in ballroom. It's an activity that also helps women who are post-wall to remain physically attractive.
If you like dancing, you should give it a shot.
