To all the people who are criticizing this individual for posting in here, you really need to get over your homophobia. If you can't handle reading something like this you need to start asking yourself some hard questions about why that is.

[–]OsoFeo 32 points33 points34 points 12 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

Thanks. I'm a gay guy who's been here under different user names for awhile. A few reasons: (1) RP is as important for professional issues as it is for dating women; (2) masculine gay men are always perceived as more attractive than effeminate gay men.

[–]monsieurhire2 13 points14 points15 points 12 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I never understand why supposedly heterosexual males are threatened by gay men. Less competition!

I do get why hetero women would be threatened. I suspect they're the real source of a lot of homophobia because they'll try to shame straight men for being "gay," and then straight men have to "prove" their heterosexuality by denouncing gay men. But of course, homophobes are usually portrayed as male in the media.

[–]OsoFeo 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

I just visited r/altTRP and found a post about seducing straight men. I think that is part of the problem: straight guys worry about the sexual boundary being violated, and that interferes with the sandbox dynamic of male social groups. Gay men need to keep this in mind if we want to play in the sandbox: honor comes before sex.

[–]monsieurhire2 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

If you are straight, then you can't be "seduced" by a gay man. A man who gets "seduced" by a gay man was either gay or bisexual to begin with. They need to come to terms with that. As for boundaries being violated if a gay man hits on a straight man, how is the gay man automatically supposed to know that the straight man isn't gay? There is no one stereotypcial mode for how gay men behave, despite what the media would have you believe. And surely straight men who have gotten shot down a lot by women can handle unwanted advances with a bit of grace. It's really not brain surgery.

[–]OsoFeo 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Think about it from the perspective of a truly straight guy: you don't want to have to worry about your bros coming on to you, that fucks up the whole male-group dynamic. I guess I'm saying don't shit where you eat: if you're going to go hunting almost-straight dick, do it far away from your social circle.

[–]1bradyo2 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

you don't want to have to worry about your bros coming on to you

If that's the case, they probably aren't your bro's to begin with. I have plenty of male gay friends and don't feel in the least bit threatened by them.

[–]OsoFeo 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Good. They respect your boundaries, which is what what I'm advocating: gay men respecting the boundaries of straight men.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So I see your concern here, and I did bring it up when that thread first appeared on AltTRP

Hitting on straight guys is disrespectful. Straight men are your brothers. Enjoy that fraternal bond.

However further in OP did make it clear that his efforts were never directed towards people within his social circle, which is where the respect issue would arise.

A lot of gay men, and particularly younger teens don't have a good grasp on how to handle their feelings for men and still maintain normal male bonds. Its for this reason that they tend to associate more with women as friends than they do with men. That's a problem, but not one that OP had.

[–]monsieurhire2 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I don't care if a gay man hits on me. What's annoying is if they don't take no for an answer and get bitchy about it. If a gay man is truly your friend, he'll understand your lack of interest and move on to someone else. In most cases, gay men don't make moves on their straight friends, and if they do, you just explain to them that's it's nothing personal, but it's not your thing, and they should look elsewhere. You have to have a bit of sympathy for their predicament.

[–]OsoFeo -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I applaud your easy-going attitude, but I don't want my straight friends even having to subconsciously worry about it. When interacting with any man other than my partner, I put on my "straight man" hat and strictly limit sexual thoughts about other men. Yeah, sometimes I still do find myself admiring male beauty, but it's dangerous to let those thoughts go any further than admiration.

[–]monsieurhire2 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh no, I understand completely your situation. You are taking a prudent course of action there, because I am by no means in the mainstream in terms of my acceptance of gay people.

Lol, maybe he just wasn't running the right GAME on you!!!! Lololol.

Maybe that Narcissus88 troll will start a subreddit for gay PUAs looking to seduce straight men. But then they won't be straight anymore! I got into this discussion with him on where he could find his fabled unicorn: a macho straight man who wasn't gay, but would yet have sex with him without pay! Makes no sense. Hetero guys want to fuck women; Homosexual guys want to fuck men. Bisexual guys will go either way. As soon as a purportedly Hetero guy fucks a man, he's bisexual. I looked at altTRP because I didn't even know it existed until today, and he has a post in there wondering how gay men can seduce straight men. They can't! All they can do is out latent homosexuals or bisexuals.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I have a lot of straight friends I find super attractive. I learned early on that friendship is really valuable and irreplaceable, and cocks come and go.

Ironically, I learned this lesson because a lot of my female friends would end up pushing the envelope sexually, and I wouldn't say no, and it would be fun for a while then the friendship would fall apart. And i'd be like, shucks, the sex was not worth it. At least not for me.

[–]Senior Contributorexit_sandman 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I do get why hetero women would be threatened. I suspect they're the real source of a lot of homophobia because they'll try to shame straight men for being "gay," and then straight men have to "prove" their heterosexuality by denouncing gay men. But of course, homophobes are usually portrayed as male in the media.

My impression was that straight women had a liking for gay men because it provided them with the same benefits orbiters gave her, only more genuine and minus the bad conscience.

So far I've only met two women who were extremely vocal about their dislike of gays: One was at Mensa, a 50ish truly delusional narcicisst borderline insane hardcore feminist (sex positive, though) single who sincerely thought that women outnumbered men 4:1 and that gays were poaching away the few good men left (not making this up. She really WAS that nuts), and the other was Belorussian. Make of that what you will.

[–]monsieurhire2 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, I think their homophobia is schizoid, like lots of other things with them. For example, they like a gay best friend if he's a stand-in for a female friend, an emotional tampon, etc. But if they meet some hunk that they want to screw, they get mad if they find out he's gay, or if he's not into them, they may consider using the "gay-shame" tactic to get him to make a move on them.

Whats this have to do with redpill though? I could care less where he sticks his dick.. and when I say that, I really mean I could care less.

He's basically saying he likes to have sex with men with no real insights to RP. Great.

[–]monsieurhire2 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

"There's been a sense that the playing field is level, that it isn't a competition and there's nothing to "earn,""

"I had been treated like shit by the first few girlfriends I had (like to a traumatic degree). I kind of lost my good nature and vowed to myself I would be an asshole to the next girl I dated. To my shock that relationship actually went way more successful and somehow she actually seemed happier than my previous girlfriends."

Here's why it's relevant.

We have a bisexual man confirming straight male experiences. His experiences corroborate our own! This indicates that our worldview isn't idiosyncratic to the straight male population.

It also shows that a bisexual man can successfully apply TRP and that's it's not just the domain of macho straight alphas.

[–]ohsweetword 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

It sounds like he quit playing because he wasn't successful in the game.* One thing TRP doesn't teach is quitting or letting women treat you like shit.

We don't need people to confim straight male experiences. We all do that every day.

Bi and gay men aren't magic unicorn with special powers.

Your last sentence confuses me. Are you saying it's bad to be macho straight and alpha?

For the record I have nothing against gay men, or bi-men. And it just make common sense that you can apply RP to any power dynamic. If a gay man likes another gay man who wants to act like a woman all the same rules apply.

*> Through any set of circumstances their sexual expression has been reinforced to the point where it has become normal for them – they literally can’t help but be gay, because that’s what prompts sexual response for them. They also, literally, do not make a choice to be gay; their sexual response was brought about from circumstances that rewarded (or more so than from what wasn’t) that behavior. The obvious criticism is that for the most part homosexuality is viewed as a deviant or perverted sexual expression and is discouraged. However it’s just this taboo that makes the sexual expression an even more tantalizing reward.

[–]monsieurhire2 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, he didn't quit playing the game; he had some bad experiences with women, good experiences with men, then he figured out what he was doing wrong with women and had a good experience with one. I'm not saying it's bad to be a macho straight male or the a sissiest of sissy homosexual stereotype. Not at all. I'm just saying there's no reason that one should hate the other. It's just a giant waste of time and energy. Homosexuality occurs in nature across vast swathes of species. And even if it is a choice in part, so what? The world has billions of people on it. They don't know all need to be doing the same thing or thinking the same way.

[–]1bradyo2 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I wasn't even remotely criticising him for being bisexual, just that I thought it was a pretty useless post. I'll be surprised if the mods haven't deleted it by tomorrow.

[–]monsieurhire2 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I disagree. It wasn't any more useless than a lot of stuff that gets posted here.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I thought this was the reason /r/altTRP was created. If posts about bisexual male sexual strategy belong here then what is the purpose of the other sub?

I'd be happy to reply to this guy with something along the lines of looking for girls with higher T counts (girls who play sports, have more muscle mass and tone, etc.) who I'd expect to have a more masculine mindset in regards to sex, but in light of the recent PSA by the mod in regards to people posting without reading the sidebar that would seem less helpful than directing OP to the appropriate sub.

[–]monsieurhire2 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I don't think there is anything wrong with /r/altTRP, but I also don't think there is anything wrong with gay or bisexual men making an occasional post on the front-page. They don't really do it that often anywas. I agree that it may not be as relevant as some of other content, but sometimes I find their insights interesting, and I suspect others do as well. And some of the people said some hostile things in their comments.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I agree that his post was interesting and that the hostility is low and unwarranted.

In regards to the post: I think that a Male dom/ Female sub power dynamic is an unavoidable aspect of heterosexual relationships. In the absence of a dominant male, women will take on a more dominant role but they seem to resent having to do this and tend to mistreat their male partner. Power dynamics in the bedroom tend to bleed out into other aspects of the relationship and women tend to make great first mates but terrible captains. In order to appreciate a sexual relationship with a woman you must enjoy dominating them to a certain degree and if you try to establish a neutral sexual relationship, she will assume the dominant role.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree completely.

There are plenty of gay and bi men that post here all the time and add their insights, and most of us don't care. There's nothing alpha about feeling threatened by a traditionally and historically embattled and persecuted sexual minority.

Yeah? Should we go back to feeding people wild animals too? That was a tradition in a lot of places too. Lots of barbarism under the cloak of "tradition," like for instance, male circumcision. Nobody asks the male baby if it wants to be circumsized, they just come in and slice off its foreskin for "health" reasons.

Also, TRP has a lot of issues with the traditional male role as selfless bond servant to the female, but perhaps you haven't noticed that.

This sub is for male heterosexual sexual strategies. /r/redpillwomen is for female heterosexual sexual strategies. /r/alttrp is for all other sexual strategy discussion. In light of that, this post has been removed.

[–]NoFatChicks88 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

All this veiled homophobia disguised as "doesn't fit the rules" is pathetic.

Gay men can still benefit from and contribute to TRP. It's not just about learning how to manipulate women, but the way they work in general.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

EXACTLY. If you don't think women try to manipulate gay men too, you got another thing coming.

[–]veggie_girl 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Women and (effeminate) gay men are the most frequent victims of female manipulation.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah and let's not forget, whoever you are, most likely you have a living mother you're in contact with. And I love my mother but I needed to understand the underlying emotional state of women to truly get along with her in a healthy way without feeling the need to defend myself all the time.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've had this discussion off and on with the mods here during the inception of AltTRP. Red Pill Proper is just as useful to gay and bi men as it is to straight. The lessons learned here about masculinity and the sexual market absolutely transfer over.

That being said, one of the things we're not particularly fond of is the phrase "as a ___". This fairly often derails good conversation by separating the speaker into a select class. It's not too far off from someone coming on RP and saying "As a woman I think...". Arguments made here should stand on their own merit and the orientation of the user shouldn't have to come into play. Plenty of the users of AltTRP are active RP proper users and make salient points of male-female relations regularly.

AltTRP is just a place for more specific lines of inquiry. There are differences that need to be discussed and that what we're here for. Also its a lot easier not having to deal with gay jokes all the time.

[–]adsnell2004 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My room mates are gay and its like living with women minus all the bitchiness. People dont know what they are missing out on. Cheers to OP.

[–]Wolfwoodd 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, it's not in my nature to really be an asshole either. However, I temper that with being staunchly non-monogamous. I also have a very low tolerance for pointless drama. In my mind, it makes me an asshole by default. It seems to work for me.

Thanks for taking the time to share your observations. Please just ignore the homophobic troll comments. Your experiences with women are just as valid as any other guys. It's also interesting to hear the bi-guy perspective.

But I really do love having sexual relationships with women... The last time I had sex with a girl was just last month. I just wish it was as straightforward as my homosexual experiences and I thought I'd get a some ideas for a solution here.

So essentially, your preference for men is more because of personality traits than physical ones?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

My preference for men I think is just sexual. I'm way more turned on and excited by male bodies.

My attraction for females is mostly emotional but I've always been disappointed that I felt like I had something to prove with girls, or like I was under pressure or being mistreated in my relationships with them.

[–]DarkSayed 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I entirely get what it is you are saying here, there is a definite pressure to perform and in the past it has taken alot of the fun out when you're trying to please her and she's contributing nothing to the whole thing apart from being there(which in some cases despite physical presence, has been debatable).

[–]Synapomorphy 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I got this theory I'm fixing to post here as soon as the robots tell me I can, about human relationship dynamics. I think there's 4 spectra to consider (5 if you're picky):

alpha/beta (authority) dominant/submissive (power) sociopathy/empathy (sensitivity) selfish/selfless (motivation)

and OP you might have some choice words about my "and sometimes Y"--the male/female gender binary.

the world is rainbows, y'all.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

All 4 seem pretty clearly to be spectrums with polar opposites. I don't know if male/female would qualify. In my own personal experience male and female are not opposites. That's like saying white and black people are opposites. There is more variance within the groups than between them, that kind of thing. And there is no essential male or essential female to base this off of, just like there is no essential white or black person, though you could draw up stereotypes if you wanted.

I don't even know if sexually they would be opposites. There's a lot more to sex than just a penetrator and a reciever.

For a sub that seems to be all about obtaining a beneficial shift in perspective, it's pretty poor strategy to dismiss what someone has to contribute just based on sexual orientation. I have something uncommon to share. It could be useful to those more open-minded than you.

The fact that you posted this here instead of in our alt-sub indicates that you haven't read the sidebar.

Which means he should be banned. But he won't be. Because he's 'bisexual'.

Op, good for you for finding your way.

I'll straight out ask you, in the red pill view, what is the real difference with the men and women (in behaviour, mentality) from your privileged point of view?

It's got less to do with women and more to do with the fact that nobody is more vulnerable than a man thinking with his penis.

I was seeing a guy once, and he was head over heels "in love" with me. At least he thought he was, it was more like I was fulfilling some of his deepest desires for him. I was so amazed at the power being in that position granted me.

Men have the primary brain in their dick, secondary in their balls and a backup on the skull.

kind of lost my good nature and vowed to myself I would be an asshole to the next girl I dated

By asshole you mean masculine energy, a female can't be attracted to a nurturer that is her role, you have to be in control, cool, calm and not take shit and get things done, this is what attracts a female.
