Summary/TL;DR:

Think like this:

Human => Woman => Name

She's a human. And then she's a woman. And then she's her name.

Body:

Now reading Dog Whisperer's (TDW) training book.

TDW says people do not manage their dogs properly when thinking of their dogs by their name.

In other words, when Person thinks of his dog as Max he destroys any hopes of good behaviour because he is emotionally attached to Max the person. He does not remember Max is a dog.

TDW teaches that a dog is a dog first, a breed second, and a name third.

Dog => Breed => Name

Treating dogs as a dog first, and then their breed, and then their name, eliminates emotional behaviours on your part because you remember what you're dealing with. You're not dealing with Max. In reality, you're dealing with a dog, who is a certain breed, who has a name Max.

Thinking like this about women will kill your unicorn and one-itus.

Human => Woman => Name

She is a human, and then she is a woman, and only then is she her name.

You are not dealing with Ashley. You are dealing with a human first, a woman second, and Ashley third. Deal with the human, and then with the woman, and then Ashley, in that order.

Stay safe.
