The one thing you have to realize is chivalry (giving women special consideration) came about not for the sake of the woman. It occurred for the sake of the WOMAN'S PARENTS. Why?

Parents are usually smart enough to realize that women really have no idea how to pick a quality, life long partner. That is, the most attractive man is not necessarily the best husband.

As a result, a man would lavish his woman of choice with the chivalrous treatment to woo the parents into thinking that he was a capable provider and partner.

Honestly, this is not a bad system because once the marriage came about, the woman received a quality mate who would provide, and the man gained access to consistent sex.

Now, realize that this system makes absolutely no sense today given the transitory nature of marriage (the reasons are many such as post industrialization, birth control, etc.). Chivalry is akin to having one's milk delivered in the morning- something quaint that reminds us of the old days but by no means functional in our current society.

Throw in the fact that acting in a deferential, pedestalizing manner toward women will actually make things more difficult for your romantic endeavors, and overt chivalry becomes a foolish proposition. Especially considering you can't usually appeal to the woman's parents to side with you in being such a "good provider."

I am the kind of guy who is always complimented for his manners, thus I believe that you listen to my advice.

I come from a very traditional society in Eastern Europe. My family has no one in it who divorced. Most of us are intellectuals, politicians, top businessmen in essence, part of the elite of our country. My mother tongue has a formal way of addressing people that is reserved for elders, people who you admire, authority, etc. Since a young age my grandfather and grandmother taught me manners.

When I arrived in the UK, my mates from University said that I have the manners of a Lord. Women are attracted to me, partly because of them. I am not at all beta.

Why? What is my secret. How can you rock chivalry?

You do it disinterested. For me it comes natural. I am not a white knight, but a man who renders nobility. I don't go out of my way to open a door for some hoe whom I want to fuck, but if I can, why not? If my ugly female friend leaves across the street, why shouldn't I walk her home? If I can walk on the outside of the word, why shouldn't I? If I am not cold and she is, why shouldn't I offer my coat? I am not a thirsty mangina and chicks feel this vibe. They sense that. But you only do it to girls who respect you, if they try to abuse even a little bit, chastise them for that and stop doing it for that particular girl

This is a pure blue pill advice on how be chivalrous. Most of you noticed a few things that are wrong. But let's look at the offering of compliments. If you have a fat friend who happens to be dressed nicely that day, why shouldn't you compliment her on that? Other girls will perceive as a cool guy, I can tell you that.

The problem with chivalry in the West is that chicks demand it only from the guys they are interested in ( if an ugly dude is chivalrous towards them that, oh my God, Trisha, like it was soooo creepy!) and guys because they are thirsty manginas mostly only offer it only to hot chicks, or chicks that they want to bed.

To be a Knight, you have to be a knight to the peasants as well as the princesses. Remember that. But never be a doormat. There is a line that you can sense it.

Chivalry is reserved for women deserving of it. Chivalry lavished on the unworthy is beta. Treat women like your mother as befits what they in turn do and how they act. Treat carouseling, single mother, careerist, feminists, and/or sluts like trash, because they are.

For me there is a difference between being polite and respectful, and being too passive, and let people walk all over me.

But this is really a give and take balancing lesson.

If someone is nice to me, then I am nice to them.

If someone is mean to me, then I ignore them.

I generally behave in a way that many consider chivalrous, including my SO. The difference for me though is the drive behind why I do those things. It's for my own kicks, for my self esteem, pride, whatever. When I hold a door ( for anyone m or f), my subconscious thought is "I'm in charge, welcome to my environment" a smile for everyone, as if I was hosting them in my own dining room, because I project every room to be my own dining room. This has done wonders for me, as it looks appealing as hell on a social level, but it also sets my mind and mood to be comfortable and light in any environment.

I dont think there is any problem with holding a door open (I do the same but Im like you, I do it for men or women). Paying for the meal/drinks is a bit different, because some chicks have it unfortunately that they will basically use you (which is their advantage in this Game of Sexual Strategy) to finance their meals, getting drunk, etc and not giving anything in return. Somewhat can say society has conditioned us to be like that. Being chilvarous is fine for little things but I think it's one of those things that isnt all important in American society today and doing too much makes you seem beta. Paying for a meal is fine with me but Ill never pull out a chair or whatever. She's grown enough to do that shit.

We are supposed to use our strength to help the weaker ones of our group. That is the function of the male in a group context, particularly the alpha type. I remember seeing a wildlife doco where a troop of baboons were being attacked by lions. The alpha baboon charged the leading male lion, jumped on his head and started sinking his teeth into the lions face. He then proceeded to get ripped the fuck apart by several other lions, but his troop got away. I salute that baboon to this very day.

The point I guess is that there are benefits to being alpha, but there are also costs, sometimes very heavy costs.

just generally a nice guy

The biggest favor you can do is to stop calling yourself a "nice guy". It's a cookie cutter description that no girl will care about. Anyone can be a nice guy.
