At the risk of sounding like every annoying RA and activity fair worker that college freshmen run into, I can't stress enough how important it is to get involved with various groups and activities on campus. The earlier the better. I know by now it sounds like a broken record, but just hear me out.

College is the only time of your life where you'll be able to sample everything you've ever been interested in. Chances are, your college or university will have some kind of group or club dedicated to your hobbies or something you've always thought about doing. Joining some kind of activities will give you a boost in a few different areas. It'll strengthen your social circle drastically and make you a more well rounded, interesting person. Hell, even just trying it out once will give you an experience that you can take with you the rest of your life. "Don't knock it till you try it" is key here. Pick anything you find interesting. Join the school newspaper. Take up rock climbing or boxing or participate in your school's color run. If you're more the computer type, try out hackathons. Join a multicultural club. For the vast majority of clubs around a school campus, you don't need any experience or need to know any people there. Just walk in, be friendly, and go for it.

Once you've gotten a focus on yourself and you're carrying on with your fitness goals and mental adjustments to TRP, you're going to want to go out and start making some more friends. New friends. People who are going to meet the new and improved you for the first time. This gives you the opportunity to be the new person you feel you are after you've made the transition from being a blue pill fuckhead to being a man. These groups are probably filled with people you never would have met otherwise who share your interests. More opportunity to make friends and strengthen your social circle. You might even find some hot girls to mack on while you're there.

Making yourself a well rounded person is so goddamn easy for a college student that gets involved. There isn't a single 30 year old guy out there that has the same opportunities that nearly every college student has. Don't waste this. You pay good money to indirectly fund all these groups, so at least make your college experience worth the price tag. Don't fall into the same trap I did my first two years. Sure I worked out and went to class, but I spent the rest of my time being a bum, drinking too much, and smoking weed all day. Not exactly well rounded.

Anyway, just try it. This semester is almost over and once next semester starts, clubs will be out in droves for activity fairs trying to recruit new members. Do yourself a favor and put your name down for a couple. There's no commitment, just try it out. You could end up meeting your best friends. Or at the very least you can't say you never tried. I wish I could take those first two years and redo them, but the best I can do now is move forward.
