Tonight at a party, I was in a situation where my frame was challenged by a wave of intense anger. I felt myself acting out of character and being generally awkward as I tried to contain my emotions. I decided it would be best to say goodbye to everyone and leave before I did something stupid.
I know eventually the idea is to condition my brain to not react so strongly to certain triggers. But in the meantime, what are some strategies to maintain composure when experiencing strong emotions?
