Today I was reading a book and it started with the following sentence:
"No woman will ever satisfy me. I know that now, and I would never try do deny it. But this is actually okay, because I will never satisfy a woman either"
This sentence alone snapped something inside of me. I'm not trying to recreate the wheel, but to propose something that most of you probably never thought about.
For the newbies (and the pros), let's review what is scarcity: something scarce is a limited resource in nature.
The point is: everything in nature is scarce. The water your drink is scarce, It depends on the work of other people to clean the water for you. The food you eat is scarce, you need money to buy it. Your work is scarce, there are a limited amount of job opportunities for your degree. Your entrepreneurship is scarce, it depends on your creativity and your ability to see problems in society and create an idea that solves them. Your friends are scarce, they have their own lives and they can't be with you the whole time. And most importantly to those coming to this sub: despite the fact that there are many women in the world, only a tiny fraction of them is in your observable horizon (even if you use dating apps), so they are scarce as well.
What's the problem that Rollo said about scarcity in his masterpiece? He addressed not the scarcity of women, but the scarcity of a concept, i.e. the scarcity of sex and our tendency to see it as a good and not an experience. That's why "betas", "blue-pilled men" (call them whatever you want, in my opinion they are just men) are always trying to improve: landing a nice job, buying a new car, working out, etc... They don't want to do these things for themselves, but rather to impress a woman who might have sex with him.
This is more evident when you go to some video platforms (or even Instagram) and see how many people teach "the game" for men. Trying to learn the game is also a form of scarcity mentality, because you are trying to apply a method that might change a girl idea and have sex with you.
And then we go back to the first sentence of the book: this scarcity mentality is ultimately created by media as a concept of a cycle of life in which you are born, grow up, get married, have children, maybe retire and enjoy your life and die. The last sentence by itself has so many wrong ideas that we could discuss in another topic.
What matters is: the scarcity mentality is ultimately the scarcity of the self. I don't know who I am, what I like, so I'm blinding following what I'm told to do. In this journey, I'm going to sleep with many women, but they will never satisfy me and that's ok, because deep down I know they're on the same level of unawareness of the self.
Now let's look at abundance. You could easily find in any dictionary that it means you have more than enough of something. Since it was previously stated that everything material is scarce, abundance comes from the inside.
You know yourself, you know your values, you know when someone is crossing boundaries and you ask respect for it. You know that people come and go in your life and there's nothing you can do about it. And most importantly: this doesn't make you tremble, because in the end you will be ok.
That means that the abundant man doesn't want any women: they don't need women, so they seek the most valuable ones. Their goal is to find a team mate, not a liability, someone who will contribute in some sort to them achieve their goals and fulfill their purpose.
You could argue that there is no such thing as a high value women because there are no "alpha women" out there. You are right, there are no "alpha women" in the same way there are no "alpha male".
Before you start furiously write a comment, let me explain. The concept of an alpha is the leader of a pack. The alpha is the one that commands the pack, that gets all the women, etc... If this didn't ring the bell, most men seeking the "alpha" are in scarcity.
Now, life in society has many aspects: you have your family, your friends, your girlfriend/wife, your kids, your job and the list goes on. You can't be the alpha with your parents and family: that's disrespectful. Imagine a Christmas family dinner and you wait until midnight to celebrate, suddenly you are hungry. If you act like an alpha, you will disobey a tradition in order to solve a physiological need.
Let's say you are in a group of friends and you are the alpha: everytime they do what you propose them to do and they follow your lead. Someday, someone will propose something different, and then your alpha crown drops.
Now let's go to your girlfriend/wife: yeah, she might respect you, but that should be mutual. There are no alphas in this relationship because this is an example of a horizontal relationship: in a healthy relationship, power flows equally, each one giving the same that they receive.
Finally your job, and that's easy: if you are not the boss, you are not the alpha.
In other words, the abundant men don't care about labels. They don't care if they are the alpha, beta, gama, zeta or even a Transformer, because deep down they know exactly who they are.
The abundant men are not seeking women, because they have better things to do. The abundant men knows that if someone interesting appears in their life and they show interest, it happens.
When I first met this sub, I had broken up about 6 months prior and I was seeking this same "alpha" that this community regards so much as a panacea to all my problems.
The further I read, the further I applied, I discovered this "alpha" is just a label that we create. The abundance is way more important than this label and develop it is actualy very hard: it requires a new mindset of becoming the best version of yourself, discipline, acting and leaving your comfort zone.
And the snap to write this text was that sentence.
Hope you are all well and wish the best of luck in your journey!
