As we all know one of the core tenants of red pill is self improvement. We already know what areas to improve;
- 'Lift' (improve strength, improve endurance, loose weight, eat better, stop being a fat piece of shit)
- 'Game' (approach women, approach everyone, increase charisma, increase social presence, be comfortable in your own skin, stop being a fucking bitch)
- 'Mind' (focus more on your hobbies, pick up new skills, read more, increase your cognitive reasoning, stop being a fucking idiot)
But I can already hear your problems "oh 'Wednesday', that's such a long exhaustive list, and I'm such a busy grown person. I have my full time job, and I barely have enough time to myself as is". Well this is where I come in, the two most important things to do is to one, minimise non-value adding activities, and two, know the marginal returns of your activities.
Removing non-value added activities: This point is fairly self explanatory. If you're doing an activity and it doesn't have any benefit to you financially, nor to your game, your lift or your mind, then stop fucking doing it. It's not worth it. It's not worth you sitting on your ass playing computer games for hours, you're a grown fucking man inject some value into your life.
The second part to removing non-value-added activities is to focus on those activities that give you the best rate of return on your time. Time is your main limiting constraint, if you've already minimised your non-value activities your on the right track but now you need to make sure you're exerting as much benefit as you can from the activities your undertaking. THIS IS ESPECIALLY CRUCIAL AT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR JOURNEY; This will be explained through your diminishing product later on.
What do you mean about getting the most out of my activities? Well do you already go to the gym and lift? Make sure you follow a strict workout plan, make sure you supplement your lifts with the proper nutrition and sleep, don't waste time at the fucking gym, time is your limiting constraint, use it properly.
Diminishing returns and it's implication: What are diminishing returns? The law of diminishing returns is the basic concept that once you increase a variable there will be a point where marginal per unit output will start to decrease. Put very basically this means that over time, the return to your effort will decrease and this has two very important implications; one being for one you start off, and another being when you're already well into improving yourself.
Starting off: Diminishing returns states that the greatest rate of return experienced to your effort is at the beginning. E.g. You're a skinny piece of shit so you lift for 5 months and see great return from doing so, but then you lift for another 5 months and while you've improved even more so, you haven't improved as much as you did in the first 5 months... this is the diminishing of your marginal returns.
What's the point of this? The point is this; one, picking up new skills and a wide range of skills is great as it provides huge initial returns, if you don't have a wide 'base' in terms of lifts, mind, and game, you're not best off focusing religiously on one aspect, your best of focusing on a bunch and trying to improve as much as possible.
The second point is that once you've already been going at it for a while these diminishing returns will dig at your enthusiasm and effort, and that's okay, its up to you to now realise, do you want to be just above the bell curve or excel. Getting above the bell curve in as many tasks as possible is a great way to initially increase value as much as possible. But this needs to apply to all 3 categories, only when you've got this down pact would I recommend committing religiously to one aspect of your life.
So you're already better than the average Joe in the 3 categories, well now focus on specialisation, keep increase your basic skills but focus on what you really enjoy and become a master of the trade. The important key to this is choosing something you genuinely like doing, choosing something that brings you either some sort of monetary value, or a deeper intrinsic value, why? Because once you get past a certain point your skill level has no material affect on the way majority of the population perceive you.
If you learn an instrument, say guitar, the average woman won't give a shit if you're an intermediate guitar player or an expert, what matters to her is that you have a marketable skill, she might be able to distinguish between the skill level, but she doesn't care. It doesn't bring her joy, it brings you joy. It's not worth your time (constraining resource) to focus on the skill past a certain point if it doesn't bring an additional benefit to you relevant to other tasks.
(first post, feedback would be sickkk)
