I was raised by a paranoid schizophrenic single mother in a ultra conservative cult (It's actually a long story). All it made me was emotionally stunted and an obese fat nerd. I used to openly cry all the damn time.

I finally left the cult about a year ago. I have been trying to turn this beta ship around for years. I finally decided to do better. I took up running, boxing, nofap, clean eating, making more money with multiple streams of revenue and going out to social events. In time I have been able to make a lot of progress.

The one issue I have is when I get flashes of random depression. It's justified in a way because of my upbringing but it's just something I have to manage. Sometimes I get down when I am trying to sleep at night. Occasionally a super dark thought would make me want to just let my tears out.

One think I have not done is cry around women. I have been working on being stoic. Actually I don't cry anymore...I just feel like I really want to. Not even behind closed doors. But lately I have just wanted to let the emotion out.

I have been trying to get rid of this crying thing. Any other former blue pill people have that same problem? Am I hurting my mental state in the long run by not crying at all?
