Eh. She got everything she needed without losing anything in the process.
After her admissions all she had to do for comfort, validation and a pat on the back was to tear up and go 100% woman mode.
There are no real consequences for her actions. She stood to lose nothing in a potential divorce other her husband. No big deal seeing as though she fucked some other dude anyway.

Because bad people usually use morality to affect behaviour of other people. But morality only works if you define yourself as good. The state doesn't say "pay taxes or we will lock you in jail", they say "paying taxes is the right thing to do". The state will therefore have to lie they are moral.
If you don't use morality to control other people, I guess you can be evil and admit it. No problem there.
