This is a good post. It's nice to have a slightly different perspective on here.

[–]monsieurhire2 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Being stiff in any way is bad, and if you think too much about posture and how you walk, you'll actually end up looking stiff and gay, as in, you'll look like a homo. It has to look natural, and the way you do that is by actually lifting well and engaging in genuine athletic exercise (martial arts, swimming, even dance can help) so that your posture will come naturally and you don't have to think about it."

Unfortunatley, if you have bad posture and bad postural awareness, there will probably be a transition period where you consciously correct your posture. Also applies to people who sit a lot as a job requirement.

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Been sayin dis shit for years holmes ~

I concur ~

I'd consider at most a 5, but because he has a good physique and moves so gracefully in a naturally manly way, he moves up for me at least to an 8.

This is the part people need to read closely, it's not the beauty you attain in the gym that turns women on, it's the look of dominance and slow behavoiral changes towards dominance that are associated with health and strength in men, all aquirable to a certain level in the gym.

[–]No_disintegrations 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's a great feedback loop. Plus, try having bad posture after a good deadlifting session.

[–]orographic 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've said this a million times. Your physical appearance changes how people perceive your actions. Having a masculine physique makes your actions look more confident and dominant, two traits women find very attractive. You don't even need to be doing anything. Just standing there gives the same affect, you look more confident and dominant.

[–]isthatyourdaughter 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I think alot of guys shoot themselves in the foot by having the attitude that doing shit that makes them look more attractive to women is somehow "gay". Personally, I think beauty measures work the same way for men as for women- they make you look healthy and more youthful, which sends the unconscious signal that you are a more virile man.

Work out, get a tan, take care of your skin, get rid of that gnarly alligator foot look you got going, etc. Even "manscaping", maligned as it sometimes is, I fail to see a problem with it.

If you're doing something because it'll help you to get more pussy, then by definition, it cannot be gay.

[–]narcissus88[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree. In the post I was referring to having a stiff/self-conscious "good" posture. That's gay in a bad way.

I don't think lifting or having a good physique is gay. I had to put disclaimers up, but I think it helps quite a bit with getting women. In particular, it can raise the scores of guys with average faces by quite a lot.

[–]No_disintegrations 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes. And USE SUNSCREEN. I'm almost 30 and still get carded. Hydration, sun protection and moisturizing go a long way.

[–]mister_zd 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I look younger than I actually am, I dont lift for medical reasons.

Gays find me attractive, its in the face. Some women admit to finding me attractive but I still dont get any from them. Whereas gay men just want to hump me and are not shy about it.

My main recommendation isn't really lifting in itself but knowing how to stand up straight, that seems to have bumped my attractiveness a notch.

Also, haircut, get a good haircut, not some shit buzzcut like everyone else, get something that works for you.

Take care of your health, avoid alcohol (I recently realized that alcohol actually made my face suddenly look older), rest plenty and relax.

[–]orographic 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Unfortunately some shit buzz cut is what works for me. I inherited crappy hair

[–]redpill80 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm bisexual as well narcissus!

I think most men far underestimate their SMV. Men (and masculinity) are no less inherently valuable than femininity. In a different time, the entire mentality could be different- with the male body being seen as inherently beautiful and men having more value. I believe Greece and Sparta were like this.

Women want to feel overwhelmed by (true) masculinity. Sadly, most men in this society are total pussies. It's disgusting, and after dating some guys, I get why girls act the way they do- it's bad out there, real bad.

[–]narcissus88[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men in America and Western Europe (probably Japan and China as well) are beta pussies. I really don't like what women are doing, but it's the men who allowed it to happen. Also, yes, we talk about how bad it is for men to be around nasty harridans who get fat, but the average girl who is feminine and takes care of herself is around SWPL fag pussy men in the major cities for the most part. This must drive them somewhat more insane than they already are.

Vote fuzzing

How is a submission's score determined?

A submission's score is simply the number of upvotes minus the number of downvotes. If five users like the submission and three users don't it will have a score of 2. Please note that the vote numbers are not "real" numbers, they have been "fuzzed" to prevent spam bots etc. So taking the above example, if five users upvoted the submission, and three users downvote it, the upvote/downvote numbers may say 23 upvotes and 21 downvotes, or 12 upvotes, and 10 downvotes. The points score is correct, but the vote totals are "fuzzed".

Nah it doesn't matter. She had some silly artificial rule she told her gay friend about to brag. Gays say that all the time. It flies out the window if they meet a guy who has a great face and/or great body. I know personally some male escorts with average or below average dick size and who absolutely clean out among supposedly "size queen" gays (and these escorts are tops, i.e. they don't take dick).

The talk about dick size is more for stupid girls or gays to brag to each other.

What about nude beaches...do you go there to pick up girls. I don't think they're popular venues in any case.

[–]alt30313 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Beyond vote fuzzing, there are subscribers that down vote everything. Don't take it personally. In my opinion your are spot on about guys needing to work on fitness and posture. Fitness and posture will impact all facets of ones life. Great post.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It was a pretty longwinded way to say lifting weights and good posture will make you look better. I think the people on this subreddit already know that.

[–]narcissus88[S] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

PS It's also about priorities. A 4 or 5 would get a hell of a lot more out of investing in a good training program and putting his effort into that than in learning advanced techniques to psychout HR kunts at happy hour.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But if someone is a 8-10, it stands to reason they already have a fit body and work out regularly.

[–]narcissus88[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

TLDR would be that for a male 4, 5 or 6 it can raise your points by 2 or more.

[–]Kepaso 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

it s true that i have a better posture since i'm lifting.

[–]TRP VanguardArchwinger 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'd classify how you move and your posture as components under the larger umbrella of body language, which is highly regarded as something very important. A dancer or martial artist is very conscious of the position of his body and how he looks when he moves and stands certain ways -- so the advice is sound. I just wouldn't go so far as to elevate posture and moving gracefully into a category all of its own.

[–]narcissus88[S] 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I agree with this but you have to be careful. Being very conscious of your own posture can be bad. You should get to the point where you're doing it without having to think

[–]frequentlywrong 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Another thing that causes a dramatic positive change is martial arts. Real ones like MMA, kickboxing/muay thai, BJJ. It sounds crude, but it seriously affects your attitude. Knowing that you can handle yourself in a fight. Knowing you can kick most guys asses is a pretty big ego boost.

[–]JusticeCakes 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I second this. All the physical training I do is probably inclusive with how I carry myself. Knowing I look good in a tshirt is one thing, but knowing its not just for vanity and I can handle myself makes me fundamentally more confident. There is less insecurity and no need for posturing.

On the flip side, knowing how easy it is for another human being to fuck you up gives you a healthy amount of respect.

[–]Liddell_and_scott 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Could you give us an example of a five?

[–]narcissus88[S] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe I'll post that guy's pic if I find it. He's not good looking at all though.

[–]FeelingSassy 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Good post! Interesting perspective and feedback! TBP's and SJWs will be having a shit fit that we are not fitting there frame by discussing this rationally and not lynching the ZOMG gay man!!!111oneone, baah feeling cynical atm!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Thanks for the great post.

My question isn't entirely related, but this sentence piqued my curiosity:

First a disclaimer, a homo's attraction to men will be primarily physical and visual, just like a straight man's attraction to women.

Do you care about height at all?

[–]parkitmister 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Most gay porn stars are shorter than average, like Tom Cruise style.

Visually it's more about body composition and proportionality than height. As in, be lean and work to get your shoulders broader than your hips (that V look).

[–]theVet 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think the takeaway is to invest in yourself instead of dedicating half of your life to a partner and neglecting yourself. After all that very same partner will like you more if they see that you value yourself and are trying to improve even more.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, being able to carry yourself with grace and being confident in your body are very good for appearing attractive. Falls under body language.

[–]Endorsed Contributorpontifx 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Passive attractiveness is better than active attractiveness in my book. As I begin to take on these things (physique, style, infamy, and legacy) I see all to well the state changes in the females in my social circles.

A reasonable amount of game backed by those four things is god mode. Most girls repeatedly lust after those men and since those things are tangentially admired by men and ideas then they become paramount to pursue.

I don't think you're fucked but I don't know a lot about bodyweight exercises. If you can do dips and pullups somehow, you'd be better off. The problem I have when I'm traveling is that without actually going to a gym it's difficult to keep disciplined and to motivate yourself. Again, I'm not a trainer or expert but I think if you do sprints and good bodyweight exercises you can get in decent shape and also maintain what you have. It's better to go lift though. And the problem again is keeping at it...it's difficult to get yourself going when you travel a lot.

[–]puaSenator 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

If you're trying to gain muscle, it's going to be pretty hard to actually get larger. You could just do a lot of sports, climbing, and other physical activities. But the human body does have a natural limit. Eventually it's just not enough weight to tear the muscle fibers. The only way to go past that plateau is by lifting heavier things that you wouldn't normally be able to life just through physical activity.

If you look at really fit men from just 200 years ago, they don't look anything like what the really fit men (without enhancements) look like today. With enhancements, it's even more exaggerated.

So your best bet really is to just drop that body fat, and do a lot of physical activity. Wall climbing/hiking is great for the back. Swimming is great for your core and all around even muscle building. Pushups are good because you can just add things from around your house onto your back. You should try hitting 50 in one set, and then 100.

EDIT: What? 2 minute planks? Are you insane? What's your core look like? Now I'm curious. That's ridiculous. I can do a low plank for like, 30 seconds before I want to kill myself.

Are you going abroad? Most don't lock you into contracts out there. If it's just over the US, you may be able to work something out with them. Try to find a place where they don't get paid off commission, so you'll actually be able to get honest help. My gym goes by month to month for instance.

Pullups are definitely great for the back/arms. It's one of those exercises that are hard to plateau with. I'd try to focus on those as much as you can. With the rest, I have no idea to be honest. Have you considered just getting some resistance bands you can bring with you on your travels?
